This game only supports standard play. It does NOT support VR play! Some wiseguy | wisegal Steam user logged onto Steam and added the "VR" user-defined tag! In the Steam page for this game, there's nothing in the game's description where the dev says that the game supports VR! Why Steam has this policy that allows the Steam users instead of the developers to create tags for a game is beyond me!
Got the same problem. I'm not sure why this is either. I also never installed anything from the ones who build the setup for this, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. Usually have either Tenoke or Codex setups.
Do you guys use VR or mouse and keyboard? If anyone uses VR and it works while us with the problem use mouse and keyboard that could maybe be a hint why it fails, maybe? Complete speculation on my part on this because I've seen someone mention here that this is not the VR version of Train Sim, so I'm immediately confused as to why this seems to not launch for mouse and keyboard while someone else says it's working in VR.
Launching as admin probably helps. Installing the game on drive C: can cause this issue as well or you'll need to put the game into another folder on a different drive than C:. I have experienced these issues and solved all of them.
If you have another drive, try to install to that one, like D:\Games.
Maybe your config is lacking the runtime libraries, as it happens to be so often with people's computers. I'm not willing to download this game, so I cannot give any better advice than to check Windows for updates, not to be on Windows 7 anymore and check all else drivers for updates with Driver Booster. If Riva Tuner is open to have your fps displayed, deactivate it for once and see if the game stays open.
Going for the latest VC++ is what I would do first.
It's not easy to judge from a distance, but it's for sure a config fault. I have no games not running, no matter which source they are from, except "Inversion" (legal copy).
just wait a bit, because this torrent is not added popular trackers. So you may need to wait a while, but once your torrent client connects to the seeders, it will download very fast
It's insane. They wrote, that many of the DLC are reused from predecessors, so, those who bought DLC for Train Sim World 3 or 4, wouldn't have to rebuy them for Train Sim World 5. In the end, those who didn't ever have bought before, would have to, if they wanted that certain DLC.
The developer said, they don't expect customers to buy all DLC, but only their favorite trains or tracks. I, as a gamer, collector and completionist would feel the "fomo" right away. I want everything of a game, so I don't support such a policy of ridiculous amounts of DLC and such high price tags.
what if i own the game legally but just wanna crack the dlcs? ik it was some indian dude who did it and owned a discord server but my old acc got deleted so i lost em
you can change it to English, by opening the file "...\WindowsNoEditor\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv147\Win64\steam_settings\force_language.txt", change the content to "english" and save it. You can also change it to other languages, like "german", "french",...
If non-torrenters aren't going to get the full package and don't want to spend 2525 € on the full game (incl. all DLC) either, I'm not riding on this train for sure.
You'd think 2000+ Euro is a lot, older train sim games have a whole lot more than that... you'd spend at least 10K on DLC, just get to show simmers are just rich-a$$ no-lifer.
Does anyone else have the problem of the game launching and then quitting back to desktop without any warnings?
I've tested this with Train Sim World 5 and 4 the other day and both versions do this. I made sure to apply cracks during install, well at least on 4, the install in 5 is a little weird and other than changing directory is very limited. The files for 5 in the ISO are also the same as in what's getting installed and also doesn't fix the issue of not starting, I've tried. I also tried to launch as admin and still no luck.
I'm pretty confused as to why that is, I first thought it was just an issue with TSW 5, but after installing 4 it was the same issue. I just wanted to test the game out to see if I would like it and wouldn't really want to download 300+GB for all DLC if I don't even know if I like it XD
That's exactly what I did already, I never install on C, that drive is purely for my system. The problem is that there is no way to tell if you apply the crack during the install or not, normally it is just the base game, I know that, but there is nothing you can check to apply the crack during install and even when opening up the install drive to check the files inside, there's nothing pointing towards the cracked files you need to put into your folder.
I'm not new to installing cracked games, but that install setup is one of the weirdest I've had to deal with, you can't even stop the music that's playing and you can only change the directory where you want to install it, that's it.
Razor1911's is not the most comfortable setup, I have seen that before and I heard, cracks are faulty sometimes. As I don't want that game myself, I can only advise to keep trying, to go TSW 4 instead or to check the AV, if it silently swallowed some files during extraction.
I've tried 4 aswell, since 5 didn't seem to work right, thinking at least that it would go better but it had the exact same issues. I also don't have an Anti-Virus software besides the build in Windows one, so I would get notified if anything gets detected and then I'd have to act manually to delete it or let it stay, which is why I know that there wouldn't be files missing with this one.
It's pretty unfortunate because I would try it out, but don't want to keep trying to install it over and over hoping it would work, just to try out the game. And like I said before, don't really want to Torrent download 300+GB for the full version + DLCs if I don't even know if I like the game.

In the official Train Sim World 5 promo video on YouTube, it explicitly says that a separate, Meta Quest only (Not PC tethered) game called "Train Sim World VR: NY" will be released in 2025. Those who want to wishlist that game for their Meta Quest series VR headgear now, can visit that game's official page.
just run a Train pic 2 second and back to desktop
can help me, please?

Google: techpowerup VC all in one
No idea why it doesn't work.
I have no games not running, no matter which source they are from, except "Inversion" (legal copy).
I have read an article on a german tech website, where they show it in detail.
They wrote, that many of the DLC are reused from predecessors, so, those who bought DLC for Train Sim World 3 or 4, wouldn't have to rebuy them for Train Sim World 5.

There's no justifying for such circumstances...

Don't install on C drive.
Place it in a different drive and folder, like D:\ Games\TSW 5.
Apply crack properly and launch as admin, as before.
The problem is that there is no way to tell if you apply the crack during the install or not, normally it is just the base game, I know that, but there is nothing you can check to apply the crack during install and even when opening up the install drive to check the files inside, there's nothing pointing towards the cracked files you need to put into your folder.
