That's fair, but when I call it a "piece of junk" I'm also talking about the pretty bad technical issues it had, not just that it wasn't a well built game. I find Witcher 2 really polished things up and evolved naturally from the troubled beginnings of 1. Looking back at Witcher 1 is a bit like looking at other titles which were groundbreaking or important in their own times, despite their big flaws: it may not have been the best when it came out, but it was a first step toward greatness, and that matters too.
