The teenagers of the 1950's and '60's who had fallen in love with RCA's compact and relatively inexpensive automatic disc-changing model and had built up collections of 99 cent singles had now matured and preferred the full length concept album, ironically the 33 RPM format which their parents had once embraced, assuming they were affluent.
