Downloading this gives a file called Simplex.exe and on google drive it's listed as virus infected. So it's rather suspect. especially since this is the curious expedition, not a game called Simplex.
Simplex is just the installer which installs the game. There are multiple games which have installers with the name Simplex. I installed a game just the other day that used a Simplex installer. There's nothing suspect about it. I suggest you use a different download mirror other than google drive, in order to avoid the incorrect warning about a virus
There's nothing to fix, it works fine for me. I downloaded this game and installed it and it works. Also, I can't re-upload games, so even if it was broken (which it isn't), there's nothing I can do about it
The file is for "Curious Expedition 2", but this is the page of the first game. 😊
