This game has the potential for becoming cyberpunk's equivalent to Terraria/Skyrim. To elaborate, the visual aspects, art direction, the enormity of the sandbox world, and the quantity of props and objects and NPCs in this game, are such that it's a waste and an insult to the modelers and art direction for it to remain as is in terms of gameplay and story. I can see too much potential for companion systems, new and experimental game mechanics like Future Cop LAPD's MOBA-like SkyCaptain mode being implemented into this game, an elevated take on the GTA San Andreas gang zones and warfare mechanic, GTA's general reputation system with faction response like the police, adding some RTS aspects into it as well akin to how C&C:Renegade switches between RTS and FPS or SpellForce switches between RTS and RPG, and of course releasing modding tools would just make this game timeless. The visuals alone will last over a decade and age like fine wine, that's my feeling about it, therefore modding would truly elevate it not only for players but also for devs as it provides free marketing boost. I also love that good old philosophy of whacky weapons with unique visual kill effects and animations. The game needs a lot of polish though beforehand, what with all the bugs especially for multiplayer. As is, the game feels too barren and repetitive in terms of mechanics and quests. We'll see how things develop, but I would love it if the dev managers have an inkling of all aforementioned.
Beautiful looking game, looks more Cyberpunk than Cyberpunk 2077 but it's gameplay is flaccid. Helldivers is still one of the best twin stick shooters in my opinion; they really need to make a second one.
I have a loop error, I did several installations, nothing changes. the message is theascent-win64-shipping.exe application error. someone has a solution; thx
is it just me or does it almost seem like The Ascent's devs were trying to take shots at CDPR? CDPR took out traveling on the subway, it's in The Ascent, plus taxi rides. Didn't like you only got to see your character get operated on when installing new cyberware once and can't change your character's looks at all after creation? You can with The Ascent. If they let you own and customize different properties, I'd be completely convinced they were totally fucking with CDPR.
Ngl I would love to see every studio (preferably small/indie studios who are passionate about their games) from now on to take a punch at CDPR one way or another.
I like MEGA and Google Drive and understand your situation, but IGG only reuploads when all links are down. This is what IGG said in an email to me: "...hosts usually delete files within 7-30 days of upload, so there's no reason to upload them again. Even some hosts like http://mega.nz, google drive auto delete files within 24 hours after reupload (because they are the same MD5 and DMCA)."
i dont know why people saying this game is boring.when you past the introduction and start fight against humanoid enemys its pretty entertaining and intense.the gunplay is satisfiying and if you like games like this you wont feel boredom at all.i definitely gonna buy this game to play it with my bro in coop
How to play it coop ? There is just lobby for inviting friends, but aparently this crack didnt start "spacewar" so i cant open steam overlay and invite someone
Look to see if there's a steam fix available, if you can find a steam fix for this game then you can play online with friends using the same cracked game. The other guy who says pirated games have very low chance to play online is correct to a certain extent but if there are steam fix files for cracked games with online gameplay then you are good.
Here you go : # Put the files in "The Ascent\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv147\Win64" and launch the game with "steamclient_loader.exe" (in administrator mode if it doesn't find the .EXE) You and your friends need to be on LAN btw (Hamachi or other)
Or you just have to not rely on the shitty crack that CODEX put in every games and use GoldBerg's emulator instead. 100% of CODEX's cracked games that need steam don't have multi but with the correct crack you can play in LAN to these games.
i very much fell out of watching his videos and shit after cyberpunk released, as he was one of the people who CDPR invited to see gameplay behind closed doors and said the game looked amazing with no bugs and stuff, but even saying that i don't entirely hate him, he has his own opinions.
the only people i've seen who hate him are the ones who defend tlou2, which i don't think there's any of them here i guess they just don't like these kinds of games
I didn't play it, I only watched some let's play videos, and it was enough for me to agree with you. I skipped forward 2 hours of gameplay and noticed something : It always looked/felt the same. Same gunplay, same enemy patterns, even the gun felt the same after upgrades and stuff. And the maps/level design themselves seem boring, except in the city, which is beautifully made.
After playing a bit less than 3 hours of it I do get what you mean and I agree with your assessment. I personally would use the word 'monotonous' for it as opposed to 'boring'. It's one thing repeated over time, but it is done relatively well and some people may find that engaging and interesting. But hey, it's just semantics. It's a twin-stick shooter through and through just as SkillUp had described. No variety, no nothing else. Graphics are also beautiful if your system ain't a toaster. Thing is, when a game has any sort of co-op, game reviewers like SkillUp always take advantage of that and create an entirely different experience for themselves. Needless to say, even if you're playing the most monotonous of games co-op, you have many emergent fun moments that will alter your experience greatly. This should always be kept in mind when watching those reviews. Overall, it seems like an OK game. Nothing exceptional, but respectably OK.
I agree with you Niel, the word "monotonous" fits better here. The same goes for Co-OP play. I don't play this way, because first of all I don't have anyone to play with (but I often play Multiplayer:), and secondly these are pirate games and there is too much fiddling with the settings to make it work. Like I said, nice graphics and presentation, but for me it's NAH.
if u played alien swarm this is basically the same thing, if u just wanna have fun playing coop and mess around its pretty fun. other than that not much
Alien Swarm was okay, since it had coop, but singleplayer wise Alien Shooter 1 + 2 and additional spinoffs are quite good aswell if you like this genre. They are 2D only, but still worth the time you spend with them. Before Alien Shooter there was Zombie Shooter. Good stuff for a few playthroughs!
As I said before, the game has beautiful graphics and animations. But it gets boring after some time. You keep doing the same thing, there is no variety, no RPG or Loot system.
i just watched skillup's vid, imo the guy is honest and has a pretty good taste for games, i don't think the game is boring but it's just not for me since i was never really into twin stick shooters
the shooting looks pretty nice, both solo and coop, you said you played it a week ago right? maybe things changed a bit maybe they updated some stuff idk

The gameplay and aspects of the game couldn't hold a candle to this game's Art and Visuals.
In fact, the gameplay couldn't even top Diablo-like games in terms of combat and character progression

I would think so with this futuristic world.

Nice graphics, nice animations and
BORING.
Sadly.

That's my point.
Still the same and the same.
I personally would use the word 'monotonous' for it as opposed to 'boring'.

i only see reviews mentioning its has many bugs, bad optimization and people with beast machines have sluttering
its quite similar
But it gets boring after some time.
You keep doing the same thing, there is no variety, no RPG or Loot system.
you can play single player but its strongly designed for MP
Yez
Also, it's another SkillUp-approved game.
Neither Loot nor story (which doesn't exist).
A shooter with nice graphics and Animations.
That's it.
Nah
