Chuck The Cryptid Hunter
Okay, I finally got myself the courage to play this(despite that I nope'd the heck out of this due to that scary ass mofo) and honestly guys? It's quite good.

You play as this nth dimension being on the run from that scary thing on the cover across universes and dimensions and ended up fleeing to earth and got stuck in a human body without any of your power.

And you gotta find a way to regain your powers while trying to hide and adapt as a fleshy mortal in the meantime. You have two route, try regain your powers at all cost humanity be darned or you can try to settle into the earth life along the way(you can still regain your powers if too don't worry).

But your quest is not gonna be smooth too, like any cliché story trope, The Hunter managed to track you down to earth, so you're screwed. But! The Hunter also gets stuck in earth and lost their powers too(albeit not as much as you). So you gotta also try to hide yourself as human and avoid them at all cost. At least until you get your powers back and ready to smite that grinch-grinning mofo.

(no. you can't bang The Hunter, stop wondering)

Okay pros and cons:

Pros:

  • You play as a god-like being that get stuck as a mere fleshy mortal and thus has to deal with it(from soiling yourself to teenage drama to "hey-let's-sacrifice-these-sad-sacks-for-more-power" )
  • A lot of moral dilemma of free will vs regain power at all cost is very prominent.
  • Your sibling is the sassiest but also sweetest person in the game.
  • You get to found your own cult heheh.
Cons:

  • None or the romance interests are particularly interesting, aside from your fellow partner-in-crime.
  • The poly route is for the cult leader and their second-in-command if I'm not mistaken. (I said 'their' because you can pick their gender, if I remember it right)
  • You can't bang the eldritch monster.
  • The game can be a bit too long to read than you like(depends on your reading speed though).
So for me it's a solid 7/10. Interesting to play, but the lack of LI personalities can be a bummer. If you like intriguing morality/humanity drama with some eldritch horror on the side, this game might be right up your plate.
