driveC is a disrespectful and ungrateful turd of a pirate. He'll troll for any games or persons. You have your rights and should voice and act however you feel is appropriate. Don't have to apologize to him/it. Piracy actually does help smaller indie developers because it gets the product out. However, I doubt posting in here will solve your dilemma. Hope your game sells well. Best of luck to you.
if you wanna take your game down, dont bother with the site. go to the links hosting your game's files, they all have DMCA filing options. You would know this if you didnt have your head 5 meters up your ass. Another reply to you, understand that this site doesn't use shady non traceable, non accountable links. you can do what you want. just remember ppl will see this forever, even if you delete your posts. and nobody is going to care. the very few times i see devs poke around these sites, 99% of the time they are pretty damn chill. One guy even told ppl the pirated copy got corrupted, and the real game doesnt work weirdly. and guess whaT? ppl respect that sort of stuff, and he got some sales out of the ordeal. you however? no. you already know your game is a failure, so you are trying to blame it on piracy . as others said : good luck with that .
Yo, aside from the initial posts, the guy has been very apologetic and chill. Why are you being such a dick in both replies? Also, "remember ppl will see this forever." Who the fuck cares what someone sees in the comments on a pirate site as a developer? 90% of the people on the site weren't going to buy the game in the first place. And you "sometimes check games out here, and then buy them on Steam once I know they arent piles of crap made by some disgusting 2 but assrt flipper that wants to cash in on a trend." Riiiiight, I bet I can count on one hand how many times that has happened. I tell people the same line when I mention piracy. Do you also use the fact that it's bullshit games don't have demos any more and you need to know what you're playing before you buy! It's not your fault! You're saying they are blaming a game failure on piracy (although they never even insinuated that) and you're blaming your piracy on shitty games. No, you pirate because you don't feel like paying for games, just like the rest.
to be honest mate, I wouldn't even download it for free. Piracy actually helps sales. I won't spare you the boring details of how the most pirated movie of 2016 was also the years #1 in box office sales.. interesting, right? that being said, if you have enough free time to google search ( im sorry , BING LMAO ) your game to find out if ppl pirated it, then it ain't doing too well, would be my guess. Lemme tell you a lil story. I use this site to see games that usually get buried under the mountain of crap shoveled onto steam's store on the daily. I sometimes check games out here, and then buy them on Steam once I know they arent piles of crap made by some disgusting 2 but assrt flipper that wants to cash in on a trend. no worries mate, I didnt mean your asset flip of a shitty horror game. Good luck coming out clean after this :) Understanding that most ppl would never even know your crap existed were it not for this site, will help you get through the day. cheers.
I'm not sure what actions you'd be able to take against the site, if they don't want to take it down. You can always report it to various search engines (google, bing, etc.) and request they restrict access to searches for it. But if they don't want to take it down, these days, there's not really much to be done. Sorry man.
There is a YouTube channel existing, called "AllGamesWorldHd". He always uploads gameplay of games that have just been published on here. I wonder if he also takes part in the IGG comment section :D
and what are you going to do if they refuse to do it? also its pointless to request that other sites will do the same you are just wasting your time man now if you dont want pirates to download illegally, well you can contact denuvo to protect it but its not a cheap service and it will be inevitably crack it the best you can do is to post a friendly comment like other devs came here saying "thanks for testing my game, tell me if theres anything wrong on it and i will update it and plz support me buying this thanks and have a nice day" i guarantee you most users here will approve your comment and support you that way but if you come here saying "HEY ITS MY GAME, YOU NASTY PIRATES, REMOVE IT NOW" you really think they will support you? be smart man dont be an idiot THINK i am not going to download it, its my way to support you but next time dont be an ass coming here with that comment
lol, I like how you're giving the guy shit because he asked that it be removed. You actually got the creator of the game to apologize for being upset his game is being pirated illegally. It's a bit like punching someone in the face and telling them not to annoy you so you don't punch them in the face next time. And being cool about it isn't going to stop people from pirating. The World of Goo creators didn't cause a big fuss, but they estimated (through various means) that their game has a 90% piracy rate. I'm not judging, I'm not innocent, but to give the guy shit because he's upset about it? Please.
what shit? its the truth, coming here and strongly demanding to remove it, its pointless if i were a dev i wont come here doing that, instead i would be polite and say, "thanks for playing my game, post any issue, bugs or something you dont like and help me supporting this game by buying it, thank you and have nice day" that kind of comments its what it gives a good vibe and most users would support at least by not download it when you are the creator or a dev of a game you cant be a jerk, you must be very polite and ignore whoever say shit to your creations
There's a BIG difference from people who "say shit to your creations," and people who steal them. Yeah, they should have messaged the admins themselves and probably not posted in the comments, but as they mentioned, the email address was invalid. However, their comments literally have nothing to do with YOU, they are directed at the site owners, so acting like they need to be super nice is an odd statement. Put it another way, imagine you were an artist who sold your paintings and just finished one that took a ton of time to make. Now some dude steals the painting and is giving out copies for free. You address that person, angrily, and tell them to stop. Then, some OTHER random person walking down the street says, "You know, you should really be nicer and THANK them for liking your work. Maybe ask them if there was anything you can do to improve, and MAYBE they'll think about supporting you in the future and not stealing it." Sounds ridiculous right? Why does my scenario sound so stupid, when that's EXACTLY what you're asking this guy to do? It's one thing for a big company to shrug off piracy when they're making a ton of sales, but this is just one dude who's never had experience with it before. It's like if me or you were trying to do it and all our hard work was for nothing. Sure SOME pirates might decide to support the guy, but the vast majority of them will download the game, play it, and then move on without another thought. I'm just being honest but if I was in the mood to play this kind of game, I don't particularly care if the developer commented really nicely in the comments as I usually don't read them anyway. Nice, mean, if I want to play it I'm going to play it. It's VERY rare that I will stumble upon a random pirated game that is SO GOOD I'll go out of my way to support the developers by buying it. It HAS happened, but it had to do with the sheer quality of the game, not whether or not I thought the developer was a bro. Bottom line, I get your point, even if it sounds like I'm railing against it. But, at the same time, I think the guy's feelings are pretty understandable and it was just kind of sad seeing him come back and beg forgiveness on the very site that's stealing his work. I'm not going to act like, "oh well I WOULD have supported you but you were mad so fuck that," because we both know that isn't the truth. Again, I DO see where you are coming from; you have two options on how to approach piracy, but I'm not going to beat the guy up for his initial response, because it's completely understandable.
have you seen others devs from other games coming to this site? they do what i said because they know they cant win against piracy what else they can do coming here? nothing more than earning pirates favor i admit i am a pirate since i quit buying crap on steam 3 years ago but one with a code of honour, i already vowed to not download his work to give him my support
Fair enough. I mean, I'm not really disagreeing with you as far as what, when it comes down to it, can be really done. I think the guy just didn't know what to do and when he couldn't email the admins thought maybe they'd at least see it here. It just struck me as particularly sad when he starts apologizing and begging forgiveness! And I think it's really cool that you are going to, if not support them by buying, at least not go against them by downloading a free copy.
hmm why u whinging on me sir? i'm not the admin of this site and i'm not downloading this game either. I'm not interested to play this game too and i'm just file size inspection only. Why don't you check Contact Me tab on this site? and say something to the admin of this site? Have a good day sir.

you started a war against me for a stupid game who has a bad reputation
