Absolute garbage, one of the worst optimized games I've ever played. Hell, so bad I couldn't even play it. The resolution of the game is all over the place, mouse pointer size absolutely massive in full-screen windowed or exclusive full screen, but a little better in windowed. I know my desktop resolution settings are weird, running 1080 on a 4K TV with windows at 125% scale, but I like that and it shouldn't effect bespoke applications.
The start of the mission doesn't load right, it starts a new game with a lot of missing information, non functional UI, partially loaded in elements. After a new download and install I tried starting a new game and it played an opening cinematic that it NEVER played in any of the half dozen attempts to start a new game. Of course, it had no sound. I quite out, adjusted sound settings to make sure it was all good on my end, and tried starting a new game, it didnt play the cinematic, just incompletly loaded a new game. I tried twice more, same result.
I cannot fathom the depths of ineptitude it took to get the game to not even start a new game correctly, or not even be able to load the opening cinematic correct. A damn shame on Paradox's otherwise excellent track record. I don't understand how, with the sort of support Paradox is willing to offer it's partners, that the game got out in this state.
Hell, maybe it's just a corrupt copy. Guess I'll never know.
It doesn't work for me. As soon as the gameplay starts, the game stops recognizing my keyboard input and doesn't launch properly. It's unplayable at the moment.
