actually during the 1985-1991 was when soviet went down hill as global sanctions and the war in Afghanistan plus the soviet and us arms race it lead to poor living conditions and then it became worse with the sudden democracy. companies didn't know who to report to so they just fell into the hands of powerful oligarchies and with confusion in the capitol and protests in the street a goverment crash was bound to happen so for a good year or 2 gangs and violence was high as shit while food prices just soared ever higher honestly it sucked for them but now they are doing better with russia starting to refuse globalism and turn it self to be self-reliant global sanction wont hurt them as much
