Is there a workaround to the "Run as Administrator" setting? I figured out how to disable it, but the game hangs upon loading a level. I ask because my Steam Link will not function properly with any game that needs to be run with administrator privileges. My controller won't register properly, even the one plugged into my PC which is a first as it's usually just the Steam Link-connected controller that has issues, and in some games it causes poor streaming quality, making the screen look all pixelated and trashy.
https://gamecopyworld.eu/games/pc_the_suffering_2.shtml (The previous links I gave say that, 'the download session had expired. The new link provided will take you to the rather ambiguous site to where the previous links could be found. To download the correct ones that I used, scroll down and look for, "The Suffering 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Files #2". The two links provided will be the two you need to fix your game.) I've found a fix for this game, these two files will fix it right on up. The links will bring you to a site, that give you four mirrors to download from. From the guide I read, something said that the only mirror that had worked was mirror 4, so that's what I chose, and it worked for me so far, so that's the one I picked. That link will bring you to another site to where it will provide you two mirrors. Neither one will allow mirror 1 to work, so you must pick mirror 2. Once you click that, your download will start. Chrome will detect that this file is harmful, but it is not, I found it hard to believe myself, but both my Microsoft Windows Defender and Malwarebytes detected nothing after I extracted them. I got it all to work once I extracted all of it and put it in the corresponding places. Once you download and get the .zip files on your computer (the files should be named, 'S2TTB' and 'The_Suffering_Ties_That_Bind-CiFE'). Extract both of them to a separate folder, and copy them individually to the corresponding places in your Ties That Bind .exe folder. I believe one of them holds a 'common' folder, and the other actually cracks the riot engine.exe. Copy those two over, run the new riot engine.exe as an administrator, and the game should start up.
