Quick question. The setup won't start because of an error message that I get after binding the iso file. It just says that it won't start the setup because of harmful software/virus, knowing it's a false positive. I'd guess I'd have to allow them to go through Defender to be able to install it or rather get the setup to start?
Correct. Just add game's installer [executable] into your AntiVirus [AV]'s exceptions list while your AV's real time protection is disabled. After adding the exception, re-enable your AV's real time protection and then try to install the game again (See the "How To" video here for Windows 11 and here for Windows 10).
Alright. Since it alerts to two or three different files, would I only need to put the setup.exe into the expection list or would I need to put the other files that ping as false positives as well or only those? Maybe you have an idea :)
Add into your Windows Defender's exceptions list, only those files that are detected as "false positives". Handle the problem on a "Case by case" basis.
Great. It worked. Just had to let one of the Windows Defender notifications go through and was able to install. The other ones it didn't bother to notify me over. Thanks for the help. What kind of pop-in are you referring to exactly? Linking a 4+ hour long video is not something I will skim through unless you give a timestamp of what you mean where said things happens. I don't have any issues other than a game crash whenever I skip departure time when it's unreasonably long. So, I'd be interested in finding out what exactly is so jarring, cruel and unacceptable in whatever you mean here, because to me there is nothing popping in or any other thing that seem to make your blood boil.

What is Scene? you should search the wiki and google about this, they will explain it better than me. In general, the scene is decades old, certainly older than you (and me). It is completely safe. All the pirates you download from the internet, including movies, games, software,... are mostly leaked from the Scene.
When you download a game (or anything that comes from Scene) from sites like IGG, you can easily check the legitimacy of the file you downloaded. By using database sites taken from the scene, for example https://www.srrdb.com/browse/category:pc/order:date-desc/1,... You use tools like 7z, to check the file's HASH code, and match it with information from those web pages. If the hashes match, you are completely safe, and vice versa.
hmmm no isues until now all other games wont even pop anytghing in my av this setup trigered 4 of 5 defences and as i alow it to run on my vr machine now whetever i start i have some fast command executed and dont know if its ok or not so sory fals positive or not 4 me its a hazarad to run this
As I mentioned before, use 7z to check the integrity of the file, if the CRC32 code is 869942B9, then it's definitely safe.
Because all other uploaders will also use this version of SKIDROW to reupload or repack :). If you don't feel comfortable, skip this game, as well as future releases of SKIDROW (releases with the "-SKIDROW" string at the end), because all their setup files are like that. They are all created from INNOSETUP, so it always will be.
