If you get black screen with cursor, Rename your folder to just "Subnautica" and it should fix it. I think it's the extra characters in the folder name.
16/04/2024 right now and currently this v03.04.2024 game not working black screen and fake missing file error i download from torent site and its the same get it from another page and it will work just fine with update 13/04/2024 for example
I fixed my problem with blackscreen and afterward crash. I had the game in subfolder whitch contained special characters, so try using only english alphabet and try avoiding spaces too, but in my case spaces are good.
the game itself has some bugs that the developer has not been able to fix so far it has nothing to do with igg, they gave us the necessary resources the common bug is that this game has difficulty starting correctly, and this is manifested by freezing the black screen
Although this game has a special troubleshooting page, none of the methods seem to work for everyone. some can run the game others can't. if you have methods to solve this problem and if the igg moderation team also allows us, you can post here how you solved to help the others
You can't fix this error. This version of the game is nuked (bad, not working), but admins are actually searching for a key of this game and will upload it here :)
Hey guys, i have a wierd issue, when i run game, the game started, i have cutscenne and after that my character start jumpping, walking, opening the inventory and in the right corner strange windows pop up, idont know what's happening. I tried solve this problem i think is some issue with plugins but i dont have idea how to fix that, can somone help ?
its completely unplayable everything alive or collectable is missing is this just me or a known issue with the game? i have the same issue with recent releases if the origonal subnautica Edit. was also having problems saving with the error "Value cannot be null. Parameter name:path1" setting read and write permissions to everyone for "C:/ProgramData/Unknown Worlds/" solved both issues - missing bits & save errors
Is it just me, or the game crashed everytime when i open it? When i first opened it, it ran fine, but then when i tried to open it again, it just crashed at the starup....
Hey! I didn't have to run a setup or crack the game. But if I try to run the game, steam opens. I've read the tutorial on this page, watched youtube videos and downloaded it a second time. Nothing worked. Any ideas on how to fix this?
i'll pass some links from a site administrator who gave me when I had the same problem You get .ISO files (or .CUE, .MDS) or Setup files….when extracted http://igg-games.com/wp-con... If you don’t get .ISO files (or .CUE, .MDS) or Setup files…. http://igg-games.com/wp-con... Example install UPDATE http://igg-games.com/wp-con... and here's his explanation too

Okay This is my issue I get a black screen when i run the game tried with admin rights same result disabled my antivirus same result And the only fixes i found on here were to re copy the contents of the CODEX folder inside the games root I downloaded the game and it came with no CODEX folder which tells me the crack is already in the Root folder since the game isnt in a ISO file So can anybody tell me what i can do I know it is not my PC because i had this game before it work perfectly
Amazing story.. Already finish the game with this Experimental version, and there wasn't any problem at all.. No major bugs, nothing.. So i think no difference playing the Stable Release v44290 and the Experimental Releases after that..
Thanks. Just to be sure (cause I'm an idiot) : The v44290 is older but more stable (the "official" if you buy it) and the v44603 is newest with new things but is still called Experimental and may bugs. Right ?
Correct.. Also, you must remember that experimental branch receive new updates every few hours.. Right now there are already 8 new versions with some fixes and such.. The version i played was 44435.. If you plan to play just for the story, then go ahead.. If you plan to play the long run, then go for the stable version
So..... If you want to play from begining to end without worrying about major bugs, posible crash and lost of save data; download and play v44290.. Especially if you plan to play the long run game, with a big base and a lot of time into it.. If you dont actually care to much if you lose your progress, then the most up to date version have new stuff And there is already a bunch of new updates in this branch, already at 44514
Full game was already released 14 May.. This is Experimental branch wich have daily updates and could have bugs.. Stable branch 1.0 is v44290 (this is the version you would play if you buy the game)
No idea why to be disappointed cause the title of the post says the version and the version you have is the same one... Nowhere in the post says its EA or Not.
Version 44290 is the 1.0 Stable branch... After that, is Experimental branch, wich have daily updates with bugs and may corrupt your save game.. You can search in the Subnautica BZ wiki about experimental branch..
people who saying stuff like that are just being ungrateful. like BRUH for example... igggmaes posting games for free here and they still whining. its not easy job post games here anyway.
They posting games i appreciate. But posting games with no info is big bad lie. Atleast tell us that if this is updated or not, people download it anyways to check if its true or not. That I don't like
you can check version of the game in title. when they upload game the title is where the version of game you seek for is. and you always can go and check on steam for versions of games, so you dont have to download game to check version or you can google it. thats what i do when im not sure about games.
You have all the tools available for research.. If you dont want to invest time in doing some research and read some forums, then it is your fault.. Dont expect others do the job for you dude.. Or at least ask nicely for some knowledge snexpansion(dot)unknownworlds(dot)com/changes-and-checkins steamdb(dot)info/app/848450/subs/ subnautica-belowzero(dot)fandom(dot)com/wiki/Experimental_Mode

Especially if you plan to play the long run game, with a big base and a lot of time into it.. If you dont actually care to much if you lose your progress, then the most up to date version have new stuff
This is experimental branch.. Full + daily updates (could have bugs and crash your game).. Stable version is v44290 To give you an idea, this is from the site i shared you in my prev comment.. This is experimental version and there are already a bunch of new versions in this branch: Currently at 44514
Don't like being the one but, to get stuff updated you need to go in the game request, sadly they don't seem to update for the Links... But I will say, please update the Google Links, Google has no speed cap, everything else has :/
This is Experimental Branch, wich gets daily updates and new stuff but may have a lot of bugs and could corrupt your save game.. The Stable branch is the v44290.. The 44290 is where the 1.0 begins
you must be wrong because it was previously 448... (whihc was here) which is higher than 442... and 448... never said 1.0 release so... use your head bro! SMH! as i say ... i OWN IT... and when i had downloaded 448 from here it never said 1.0 in the main screen >.>
v44290 is the 1.0 Stable Branch (this is what you are going to play if you buy the game).. Anything higher than that is Experimental Branch with daily updates and new stuff but with bugs and could corrupt your save game.. Search experimental mode in the Subnautica BZ wiki for more info
it didnt't used to be are you sure you are reading my post BFEORE 444... was released? or after? be cause when i commented it was an earlier version! ;)
If it says "early access" then you got an early access build. I'm gonna hold off on updating anything from the previous version that was posted here until all this confusion is cleared up.
I tried to get into Subnautica and what killed the game for me was that the base building was asymmetric. There is no way I will build shit that cannot align itself into a grid, my mental health doesn't allow it. Even the mod supposed to do it couldn't handle it well. I could only imagine the pain of people buildings perfect bases out of a flawed system like that. Just not what I'm into, I like seamless things.
Listen up y'all don't try to mess with the debug console. I played v44290 and used it for teleporting but now I can't save my 20+ hours of gameplay. The game simply doesn't allow save option to be accessed if you are unable to teleport using the "goto" command
EY YO! If anyone is having the problem where the game just crashes and all you can see is the changed cursor and a black screen (maybe with a warning sign on it) and even though you did not get any ISO file, just follow the procedure for the ISO file, ie, copy and paste the crack into the game directory. Follow the instructions for the ISO file anyway at -(https://igg-games.com/how-to-install-a-pc-game-and-update.html)
That is sad, I feel like many people already made use of the Request Form thing for requesting an update, but I heard, that despite this version having a GAME BREAKING bug, it's not worth updating
thanks for posting this, it IS a good game - i unfortunately made the mistake of paying human money on these games recently; i lost 16 hours of progress on a corrupted save game file. dev support is a joke and steam has a 2 hour max for refunds. this method may be the most stable way for others to try it.
I downloaded the version right before this one that came out completed all the missions and now I wanna see the ending, how can I update the game without losing my savefile? (and where can I find my savefile to back it up before updating)
After playing some hours i am really hooked. I had a bit more of a blast with the first one but that was just because it was such a new concept. I have a feeling that this is a bit "easier", one can go deeper sooner because, at least in one biome, there are so many oxygen plants that one can stay down for a very long time. Resources also seem to be a bit more plentiful than in the first one. Now i only need some mods, mainly inventory stuff and im happy. :)
Every time I start the game, the screen is black and the cursor appears, but the game always closes, if someone there can help me would be very grateful '-'
Hard for anyone to pinpoint your case scenario. It can vary from your pc not meeting game requirements to things like outdated drivers or to something as simple as not installing the crack correctly(drag and drop crack files into root game location).
anyone wondering how to install game. step one download the files, step two extract said files to the same place, step 3 click on the ISO file inside the folder and run the setup, step 4 after that finishes you will then want to click finish installing then go to the game folder and keep the folder with the ISO file in it open, step 5 copy all the files from the codex folder in the folder with the ISO to the game files this will then allow the game to launch and not cause you to crash. have a fun time playing
Hi, if you open up the ISO file then click on codex all you need to do then is copy the files from said folder into the main game folder and then the game will work
Hey guys , I download the crack but when i start the game my steam is start and go to the page of subnautica below zero . I can't launch the game . Why ?
yo guys i played like 1 hour or 1:30 subnautica below zero... and for some reason i can only start a new game. So... am i dumb or is this a weird bug thing or so help pls
I ran into the same problem, i played subnautica but somehow i forgot about that one. Drowned under ice because i was careless and thought i would only loose some minutes if it goes wrong. :-)
in the first cutscene after the part where it says unknown world presents where i think you land my game just lags so hard that the whole game just crashes i use an (AMD firepro v4900) do i not have the right graphics card? cause the first subnautica worked perfectly but this one doesn't. i even put the lowest graphics as possible but still the game did not work
Is AMD firepro good for gaming? Firepro cards aren't optimal for gaming. That doesn't mean you can't game on a Firepro, but compared to a Radeon card at the same price point, performance won't be nearly as good. ... But if your primary purpose is gaming, get a Radeon or GeForce card, not a Firepro or Quadro.
i do use my firepro card for gaming but Okay i will try to convince my father to get me a Geforce or Radeon graphics card i am actually a 13yr old gamer so it aint that easy to convince my father to get a better graphics card but i can try.
It is real, I was lazy to download by torrent, also antivirus detected them as a low-risk program, so I found another place to download the correct version, I leave you the link, I installed it and I'm playing it, it was worth playing the game just one time before to be able to enjoy the full game like new. https://repack-games.com/subnautica-below-zero-free-download-v2/
I'm getting the isdone.dll error when installing the game in the codex installer (I've downloaded the game several times and also downloaded the dll, but it still keeps giving the same error), and i already turned off the antivirus too
I gave it a try, didn't play much...maybe 2hrs and i had to restart once because i drowned under an ice floe and didnt save. But from what i see this is exactly the subnautica experience that i craved. And Sea Monkeys suck. :)
Sea monkeys get better over a few days. They go from stealing your stuff to handing you metals. I think it escalates over time, too. They went from handing me titanium and seaweed to handing me copper.
It's the latest version, but apparently not big enough to warrant a reupload just yet. The full version starts with 44350, so if that's your number, then at least you'll get the full game.
44290 is still 1.0 according to everywhere I look. The date just shows when the game went gold, but there's no reason why it wouldn't be the complete edition just because they chose to release it three days later.
Be careful with waterproof lockers. I just lost 2 that i put near the ground, they dissappeared. They were empty so no big deal but i would be careful using them with anything valuable in it.
ughhhhhh i cant wait for the absolute latest version and i wanna play sooo bad but should i wait? can someone reply to me once they update the correct version?
Is version 44290 full release? A lot of people in these comments are saying different things. If isn't the full release, is there any ETA to when full release will be cracked?
I downloaded codex and used the setup file. I made a game file and ran it with the rights of the owner, but the game ran for 1 second and turned off by itself. What should I do?
Check to see if you meet the min Specs if yes. Then reinstall the game, and if there is a crack folder copy and paste it in the game directory. Make sure you run this program as Administrator - Good Luck
It's still lame not being able ot build machines that can kill leviathans and shit. What am I progressing for if not to overcome obstacles? to run away from everything? Boring.
well you can actually kill them, you just need a prawn suit with a grapple so they cant just escape. that is for the first game, in this game i don't think the prawn suit is a thing, but i might be wrong. So in theory, you can kill leviathans, its just a bit hard to do.
Nice rebuttle. Really just an insult, and a complete dismissal of the fact that Subnautica has no goal other than aimless wandering. There's no threat to the game because none of the monsters are designed to be combatted. You just run. Game sucks, go get some taste.
If you think Subnautica has no goal then you've never played it at all and probably have no intention to. The game by default has a story mode with missions, complete with voice acting, character arcs, cutscenes, all that shit. The monsters are designed to be barely fightable, but that doesn't mean they aren't designed to to kill you, and you bet your ass they'll do it if you're not careful. Try swimming around looking for diamond while a shark is literally trying to swallow you whole. You'd be embarrassed that you even tried to make the argument that there's no threat. The game is teeming with a shitload of threats. The game isn't about aimless wandering either. Every time I leave the safe area it's specifically to go hunt some shit down, whether it's to add to my base, create a new tool, or follow story missions. You might as well say Grand Theft Auto is just about driving around in stolen cars while bitching about a perceived lack of plot or action. Anybody else who played the game would laugh in your face, and they'd be right to. The fact is you're just mad because shooting shit isn't the main point of the game; you're not fooling anybody there, and just making yourself look stupid trying to come up with made-up alternative reasons why the game is "bad."
The first Subnautica absolutely doesn't have that. Maybe Below Zero does, but idgaf. You can outright literally every leviathan the second you have the first vehicle. Some even on the little motor thing you get. That's why there's no threat. The fact that you had to note that you'd need to be swimming, something you simply don't do once you've got your shit together, pretty much proves my point. Again, you're talking about Below Zero, not the original. Subnautica was simply far too unspecific on what you had to do, and where you had to get materials to build bigger stuff that would serve next to no purpose. Usually, you'd google where to go, which destroys the immersion that this uncharted planet is supposed to provide. No, that's just you trying to twist what I'm saying because you arguments aren't strong enough by their lonesome. You're a typical e-brainlet driven by his egoism. Try getting a chick on your dick instead of touching yourself to hentai every day, that'll set most of your problems straight, although that would require not being a nutless weasel.
I'm talking about both games, and no matter how hard you insist, you're wrong. The insults, by the way, just make you pathetic and don't support your garbage argument. And google where to go? That's on you, jackass. I never googled where to go. I'm not twisting a single thing you've said. You made all those contextual fuckups yourself and you're too much of a miserable pussy to own up to it. Fuck off.
I don't mind a black protag, but when the sole reason the protag is black is "because we didn't want a white protag," then those racist pricks should be ashamed of themselves. Glad I didn't pay for this. Least the exploration bits are fun.
Well these are the same devs that said no guns in their games because America has school shootings every single day So it wouldn't surprise me if they made the lead a black woman lesbian transgender or some shit just because. But hey the game is first person, all you see is your divesuit covered hands and you're the only person on the planet so I guess it doesn't matter what you are. The protag could be a gay albino midget with tourette syndrome for all I care.
Jesus wept. Hilariously ironic too since apparently sub torpedoes and drill mounted mechs are A-OK in their minds but handheld projectile weapons? Bridge too far. This game is more character driven, given that. A lot is put into the protag's identity and the identity of her deceased sister (the plot is figuring out how she died), so no there's not much self-insertion with this character unless you just turn off the story altogether. I should feel lucky she's not going on about how white people are destroying everything because of the color of their skin, so, you know, silver lining.
Even projectile weapons are sometimes ok in their minds I guess since you could use the gravity gun thing to grab things and shoot it at stuff (the exploding fish turned it into basically a grenade launcher lol). I'd get a good laugh tho if the conclusion to the plot turned out to be that her sister was killed by the evil white colonialist patriarchy because they felt threated by her having a vagina.
You serious? I mean, wasn't the character in the first game black? I don't mind gender or color at all but if what that guy said is true, that is pathetic and very racist lol
Pathetic, racist, and ironic considering they suddenly decided to advertise the game with Fred (a pretty likable character so far.) Moral of the story is Twitter's a cancer and the opposite of a good gauge for demographics. Discord's not much better.
Haven't touched the first one. Although it is on my "must play before I die" list. It's just that it's a very big meal. I know full-well I'll be spending 100 hours on it, minimum. I'm sure this (previously) DLC sized sequel is following suit. I'm happy for people who were eagerly waiting for this.
It depends, if you play without consulting the wiki then you will often search for stuff in the wrong place etc. This will of course add to your playtime. But if you play until you are familiar with most stuff and then use the wiki you can save a lot of time. I think 100hours is way to much for a normal playtrough. If you build a huge base and you have to farm for stuff that takes time, but it is not really needed to finish the game. I would say that you can finish the game under 50h as a first time player if you don't waste too much time with building, farming, exploring (edit: i just looked it up, a normal playtrough is between 30-50h according to "howlongtobeat") Try it, subnautica really is an experience that no other game can offer.
Thank you for the suggestion friend. When I decide to play that game I will keep this in mind. That said, the time to beat a game can vary tremendously from person to person; so is the reason behind why they play a given game and how they derive enjoyment from it. For me personally, I like to take my time, smell the roses, sometimes even pause the game and think for a bit about my state, actions and decisions. That's the reason I usually average twice the time needed in 'howlongtobeat' when it comes to big titles 😄 Also, even though I have absolutely no qualms against using guides or wiki for games, I don't think I'll be using those for Subnautica, particularly. Personally, I think the main appeal of the game is the sense of being stranded in a alien environment, not being certain about the directions and being forced to explore while the outcome is not guaranteed. So unless I'm stuck beyond the point of frustration I don't think I'll consult a guide. But I do understand that's a personal preference.
Thx IGG for this hopefully Full-Release-Upload.I pray that this is not too much survival and more adventure, because i always getting lost myself in this survival-genre😭🤖🤓.
It takes place on the same planet and there's probably a connection of some kind, but it's not 100 percent required. End of the day it's just basebuilding ocean survival. Difference is Subnautica 1 is more tropical, with less land.
for igg, free = piracy, so it is not a trial, not a demo but the full games. Just, take caution of what you will download, igg is legit but the ads and fake buttons on the sites are not. If you download an executable then delete it.
there are 2 ways, one mentioned Jericho in his comment, and the second ist you can check in the installer of codex a box where it says apply crack(copy content from codex folder),usually codex has this option, too

That said, the time to beat a game can vary tremendously from person to person; so is the reason behind why they play a given game and how they derive enjoyment from it.
For me personally, I like to take my time, smell the roses, sometimes even pause the game and think for a bit about my state, actions and decisions. That's the reason I usually average twice the time needed in 'howlongtobeat' when it comes to big titles 😄
Also, even though I have absolutely no qualms against using guides or wiki for games, I don't think I'll be using those for Subnautica, particularly.
Just, take caution of what you will download, igg is legit but the ads and fake buttons on the sites are not. If you download an executable then delete it.
it's very nice
