Well, probably the drug lords, smugglers and dealers wouldn't be a fan of Robocop as he would be a major problem for them! But then again, with all the money that drug cartels have who says they can't have a cyborg on their side? Remember this guy? ...
Disclaimer up front, I misread the tagline that this was made by DEVELOPERS of Abuse, HERO, Ranger-X, etc not FANS. Otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered but I was drinking and the ketamine had just kicked in so here we are.
I am genuinely confused as to how someone (or a team of someones) can make a twin-stick platformer shooter without making a shoulder or trigger button JUMP. It is impossible for a normal human with one thumb on each hand to both jump, move, and aim all at once with the default configuration using a standard controller. Was the game intended for mouse/keyboard players? I made it to the first boss somehow and that was the point at which the inherent clunkiness of the controls was too much for me. There are 3 'configurations' available in the options and none of them offer a different jump button. How? Why? Presumably the devs had the same number of thumbs I do, or perhaps they're genetically enhanced Russian supergamers with two thumbs on each hand? This seems an unfair requirement for an internationally released game with no specific 'biomods necessary' warning on the Steam page.
I like the 2D art, even if it's a little 2005 Flash-gamey, I can get over the weak animations, the English localization is so bad as to be hilarious (Chad and Stacey show up in the second PDA), but I can't abide by controls like these that can't be remapped. I appreciate it's not the typical Eastern European asset-flip cash grab and some effort went into this but a tiny bit more attention to how ol' two thumbed Homo Sapiens plays with a controller would have paid off a lot. 2 outta 5 thumbs.
Try Xpadder. It allows you to remap keys to your controller! An older, unsupported, freeware version is floating around the 'Net. Try to Google for it.
