I start on the moon unable to really do anything! What a huge disappointing game! I wasnt able to get any kind of tools to build anything i sat and watched my guy slowly die on the surface just walking around.Stationeers is for very ultra hardcore players who want a systems oriented game. I noticed players are under severe time constraints to get things built or die in the pursuit of trying! This is just a very complicated game in general so I'm decided to just delete this game. If i want something complicated i'll just spend more time at work! Thanks to igg-games for letting us try these games so we dont lose our money on buying bad/disappointing games. 1st time ive run into a game i wasnt able to play before this reminds me astroneers but without being able to make stuff. Ok well chalk it up to being one of the more complicated/difficult games ive come across. I have to agree with steam this is a game for hardcore players with a high degree of techincal ability! Sadly that excludes me! I wish those that play the best of luck!
This Game is for Serious Gamers, Not Casual, Dude. You may want to try Astroneers, it's a more "Child ish" aproach to this type of games, you would like that game better. This Game simulates how energy, resources, pressure and gas management works for your survival on space, Astronauts would find this game to be a refreshing and easy version of what they learned and did in real life. But People who don't have the Curiosity, Wisdom and Determination built into them would better find a "simple" aproach like Astroneer or Minecraft.
this game is anything but "hardcore", all it does is punishes new players who don't already know what to do and wastes your time with terrible inventory management. there's nothing hardcore about that the science based challenges could be solved by someone with high-school level maths, physics and chemistry. this is where the fun lies, but it's completely shat on by the new user experience and terrible UX the only reason this game has fallen off so many people's radars and is considered "niche" is that it intentionally punishes people who are trying to learn how the game works, and then turns into easy mode once you get past the initial spike of difficulty
Yeah this game is very specific when it comes to hardness. You just gotta learn from the tutorials and youtube. Even i after tens of hours of gameplay have problems building some stuff
yeah i'm always looking to co-op this with someone but not a lot of people are interested try using this tag directly ialeidioma#3721 i didnt get any request so you've prob typed it wrong
y el space engineers (lo jugue original en steam) si bien al principio me gusto, luego de un rato aburre, le falta bastante contenido y el performance horrible
hey i am trying to download this, and is anyone going to start a uh server? i just realised that you need to be invited i am either jdeuce22 or jdeuce44
No need for him to post there, I asked for the update to Stationeers in the Game Requests page for three days in a row now. I'm probably getting annoying myself, but I can make one request per day so I ask for this.
hi i have problem bcuz i launch game ew ok but if i click on create new world it starts loading than freeze go invisible i can heart only sounds on my other pc it runing just fine so its not bad download any help
must put the game to a newer version I watch a stream and ask the question what is his version of the game is a big shift with this version. (Translate)
hello, friends and myself want to use a dedicated server (instead of using the server created by the game). Does anyone know if the server downloaded from SteamCMD allows this kind of thing? thank you.
Here you go. I believe you know how to do it. @ECHO OFF .\SteamCMD\steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir C:\SteamCMD\Stationeers_SrV +app_update 600760 validate +exit IF EXIST .\Stationeers_SrV\ ( DEL .\Stationeers_SrV*.* /q rmdir /s /q .\Stationeers_SrV ) echo Everything Done! cd .. cd .. PAUSE After you do that. you will have the server. There is no difference between hosted and dedicated. its the same thing. The only difference is the Dedicated server is a bit more unstable, and causes game lags (at least in my case). EDIT: Oh yeah...and it has different port by default. (27500 if i rememeber correctly)
Well i'm glad you made it. But i saw the original question and was a good one. So i'll post the answer here. You dont have to name the folder like this. the script is just a demo. you can use the simpliest command if you want. That goes like that .\SteamCMD\steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +app_update 600760 validate" +quit This one will download the server with the originall file name etc. under \SteamCMD\steamapps\common. and while downloading will be in under \SteamCMD\steamapps\downloading. If anyone else have questions, post it. i'll be glad to help.
How would i get multiplayer on this game, i watched some french dude do it, and he had the 64bit vertion of stationeers, he just launches it, and has multiplayer
If you want people outside your network to connect, you need to port forward. if you want to play with someone inside your home network, just go to the "address" field and add your server IP. 192.168.1.2:27016 for example. You can find your IP by typing "ipconfig" in a Cmd window. look for "ipv4 address" field. The same thing applies for outside you network. you just need your external/public IP and your opened port. 111.11.111.11:27016 for example. I cant help you with Port forward part because it depends of your router vendor. Most of routers has the settings under internet-->security-->port forward. At least on my case.
Multiplayer works, even if you cant see the lobby or any games you can join other pirated games by putting the ip:port if you fowarded the ports for the game.
If you have a friend with the game they can give you the files and you just put them over top of the SmartSteamEMU files make sure it does not over write the steam.dlls and keep the settings so it does not replace your settings... If you dont have friends with the game get better friends :P
For crash after few seconds, disable steam overlay. I know that "EnableOverlay = 0" is ever setted, but lower in "SmartSteamEmu.ini" you can find that line : "DisableOverlay = 0", just replace it by "DisableOverlay = 1", it's worked for me(at least game not crash directly, now i need to test the game) :)
runs and loads into main menu no issue try creating new world and instant death occours in about 49 out of 50 tries, one the one try that did work, started a base and ran out of bits, whoops will try again when the crashing issue is resolved
That just means other people are connection to you and are using a older version or whatnot. By default MP is enabled and being shared with others. Ive seen ALOT of people connect with IGGames as a player name. So be smart, unlike the others, and change your player name in the config file ;)
Should be the SmartSteamEmu.ini Go down to the line, PersonaName = and change to whaterver name you want. Most releases on igg have it set to them. Its fine for SP games, but in MP games that you can do online, its a dead giveaway that your "testing" the game out. I didnt know about this game untill today and i like it. Buying it myself in a few weeks when i get the cash up. This is what i had hoped astroneers was supposed to be. Think they said down the line there will be mod support which is even greater.
Seen a few others who had video driver issues. Im using a different version that i "fixed" it myself, so im doing a different way to load this then whats on here. Ive seen others having to disable the overlay but looking at the ini file, its already disabled so only thing i can say is to make sure you have latest drivers and all the requirements installed for it. Engine for this is unity, so make sure you can run other unity engine games. I personally HATE this engine. Like i have to disable all my controllers, head tracking, a few other devices or 99% of all unity games have a hard time working for me since devs are to lazy to set up a few things on unity games.

inside the Facepunch.Steamworks.Win64.dll
change that the function IsDlcInstalled always returns true
like here
reuploaded it here
https://megaup.net/62e6b467797f6c3fae2ffe6d1f74c867/Facepunch.Steamworks.Win64.dll
but otherwise you could also do it by yourself ;)
EDIT: aaalso changed the link above now
can you share your knowledge? :D
*download and open dnspy
*import Assembly-CSharp.dll (its the main script file of the game)
and one of the directories on the main layer is literally called "DLC"
after that its just clicking the functions inside it to follow its route
but i also just started modding the game, it was just something i directly notice
Merry cristmas to evryone
i just realised that you need to be invited i am either jdeuce22 or jdeuce44
