lol, if you think about it by the standards of modern western libs, the Goa'uld were the very diverse ancient people who pre-dated the US by millennia, so basically the show was about Americans hopping around in space bullying diverse cultures of brown and black aliens.
Not really, the Goauld were slavers, "bullying" them was just, not to mention self defense, they literally enslaved humans. Humanity didn't really bully anyone, we were essentially powerless compared to the other more established races, until the later seasons when humanity caught up. The goauld mostly lost to humanity because of heroism and luck on our side, arrogance and complacency on theirs.
from the mixed reviews, I would say this is not like those at all and more of a low budget of those stealth games with the coating of stargate instead of wildest/samurai
Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Going by the mixed reviews, some people may share your opinion while others may not and still see this as a RTT game. Also, according to the dev's verbose description in this game's Steam page (See here), this is a Real Time Tactics game. Just because it may have elements of stealth doesn't necessarily make it a 100% bonafide Stealth game like the "Metal Gear Solid" series of games. Technically, this is a RTT game in that the gameplay is mainly focused upon squad management and battle tactics instead of only trying to sneak past enemies in order to avoid or attack them (This may be but one of the battle tactics available in this game). I still stand by what I wrote. 😉
Have you actually, thoroughly read all of the reviews (See here)? Not all of the reviews say that this is a Stealth game. For example, see the reviews (here by "Vampiro", here by "ultraFox" and here by "Jack Mc.Murdok") that say that this game is a RTT game. Perhaps the most "neutral" review was written by "basedeltazero" who wrote that "... It's a stargate stealth tactics game. If you like stargate and stealth tactics, you'll probably enjoy this. ...". ❓😐
So, let's discontinue this useless, difference of opinions about this game which is beginning to sound like an '80s Miller Lite beer commercial that has opposing sides which continuously exclaim, "Tastes great! vs Less filling!", agree with "basedeltazero" and just enjoy or loathe this game. LOL! 😉
Wow going to assume you work for the company, never can be wrong (very likely as you say useless to talk about very fast) or just on premium copium, or a mix.
For future, you may want to least find a review with equal or ideally more then single digit helpful.
Like the ones with hundreds that say It's a STEALTH GAME. Will punish you if you don't. etc...
and only you would say useless when you cant defend it, and when it does not need defense, it just is a stealth game like it or hate it, it is.
Also actual proof could be you showing like a speed run of 0 stealth gameplay or something, someone posted or you post.
Either way doe snot matter, I was just informing people so they don't make the mistake of thinking this a combat game when its stealth 1st combat 2nd/3rd.
You assume? It is never good to assume anything, for when you AssUMe, you make an Ass out of You and Me [Mostly of You though] (See video here)! Despite what you may think, I'm only human and humans can be wrong at times, even you, HisupHola. The only one who is never wrong is God! Anyone else is prone to making mistakes like what you're doing right now by continuously insisting that this game is a Stealth game when it is a RTT game with Stealth elements.
I don't work for this game's dev studio/company or any other game dev studio/company but since you're implying that I must be then I'll imply that you must be working for the rival dev studio/company of this game's dev studio/company with your continuing remarks that attempt to discredit my original comment! 😐
As for the "Hundreds" of reviews - AFAIK, there are only 68 reviews in the Reviews section (See here again) of this game's Steam Community pages that I can see and count. That's not even 100 reviews as far as Steam is concerned, so it appears that you are exaggerating the numbers in Steam (Yes, I'm aware that there can be other reviews found on some other sites but unless you've already done an actual, thorough count of all the reviews on all of the other sites, you can't really say that there are "Hundreds" of reviews! 😐
Also, you still insist that there are "hundreds" of reviews which ALL say that this is a stealth game while ignoring the fact that I had already provided a screenshot of the best example and links to other reviews in Steam that say the this is a RTT game with Stealth elements. Are you that densely close-minded or so stubbornly blind so as to not be able to see the evidence that is contrary to what you're still insisting? ❓😐
I'm not even going to dignify, with a proper response, your pretense that some kind of harm will befall me for stating the facts. It would be pointless. 😐
Again, you appear to have a problem with accepting that fact that this game is a RTT game, even when the game's dev has explicitly described it as such in this game's Steam page (See again, the above screenshot that I had already posted in my earlier reply comment) and the Steam reviews that say is it a RTT game! 🙄
The rest of what wrote in your most recent reply is meaningless since it's all from the perspective of your personal opinion and line of thinking which does not appear to want to consider the facts already presented to you as well as any other opinion that may be contrary to yours, like this is a RTT game with Stealth elements or in general, this is a RTT game! 🙄
We can disagree with each other until the end of time (Frankly, I don't have that amount of time to waste on you!) but apparently it appears that we will never convince one another of what is the actual genre of this game. Anyone else reading our disagreement can see the dev's description of the game, watch the gameplay videos, play the game and then decide for themselves what is the genre of this game. Therefore, I think that this negative conversation should end now! 😐
I haven't played those games, but they are strategy games with large scale battles, more similar to Command and Conquer or Starcraft. This one, however, is about small scale skirmishes, following the Commandos formula that is also in Desperados and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
I recommend it but only if you like stealth games with the Commandos formula, it only has the Stargate skin but it doesn't look like the movie or the series.
😎👍
