26-GB !? Man, that's epic in its own right - almost approximately similar like World of Tanks, World of Warships, or half of even Warframe! Also, "Design your own ships or download them from Steam to build fleets and take them into combat in fleet battles." Why it wasn't put into 'Building' category...?
ur seriously complaining about 26 gb in 2019? must not play many games in the past 10-15 years otherwise u would know average current size of games now days is upwards of 50 gb or more. ur basically complaining about a game being half the size of most games made in the past 10-15 years which i might add.... if u cant handle 26 gb when most modern pcs have 1tb or more then maybe throw away the windows xp and look into a new pc.
Fuck yeah I'm gonna complain. Star Control 2 is a couple hundred megs and is far more entertaining than this. I understand that textures nowadays drive the size up, but that will never replace goddamn good gameplay. But, just my personal opinion
Uh... I'm not sure what to think now that you've somehow interpret my comment as 'complaining', to which I was surely didn't... And yeah, I don't know know the 'average current size of games nowadays', because I thought it no longer matters. For examples, refer to [if by near-similar experience] 'SPAZ 2', 'Star Valor', or 'Sword of the Stars'... or [if by my favourite gaming list] 'AVORION', 'From The Depths', 'TerraTech', 'Uncrewed', and recently 'Celestial Command'... All of them are gradually popular games on STEAM, yet they barely scratch the size to one of all games I previously mentioned, including 'Space Engineers' [which, ironically, I've installed all of them as well]. Unless we're talking about 'Star Citizen', that's why I thought that 'size no longer matters' since then... If anything, the only 1 thing I'm wary about games nowadays is 'Graphic', as all I have is an old, 2013-based notebook with a GT-660M graphic card - though I'm greatly surprised that this one old card even allows me to play 'Battlefield 4' and 'HardLine' at MED-graphic setting without a hitch at 40-fps...
The AVERAGE game is NOT 50GB--more like 10GB. GTAV in 2015 was above average at ~50GB but most games 4 years later are still around 10GB on average. Note I am including indie games in this, which are usually ~5GB or less (much less usually).
The base version is 1.0.5xxx, the stuff after the second dot is a build number. It's confusing I know, but when you've installed both patches it will show 1.02.5xxx like you'd expect.
The installer throws an error midway... Downloaded from the Google Drive links. Anyone have a similar experience? PS. The error comes up on the two computers where I tried to install the game, so it's not a hadware malfunction. Also, I did not run out of space ont the drive.
IGG only uploads games in English, unless they have a language pack available. You'll have to find the French subtitles for the game online and install them yourself
I kinda feel like a d!c*# for correcting you, but I have come across a couple of games on this site that weren't available in english without going thru other places online to patch it for english translations. Sometimes only partially patching the title.
Yeah sometimes IGG does go through the effort of making sure that some games have languages other than English, but he doesn't take requests for other languages to be added, unless the game has a downloadable language pack, and it's usually only Triple A games that have those. It's like with 64 and 32 bit games. IGG sometimes (but not always) uploads both the 32 and 64 bit version of certain games, but doesn't take requests regarding them. So, for example, if a game has an available 32 bit version and only the 64 bit version is available on the site, then he won't take requests for the 32 bit version. Also, I don't see why you feel like a dick for correcting me, it's fine lol
Lol, Some ppl would take it wrong and see someone who is only trying to help them as a jerk or whatever. Dont know why that is. Btw, I did not know that they didnt take requests for one version type if both, if existing of course, are not uploaded when igg puts a game up. Thanks. Good to know when requesting in the future.
yes and no. it is starcontrol but not quite conencted to the old ones, kinda of a reboot. there a while things between stardock(who made this) and the makers of the old starcontrol. the makers are trying to my a sequal to SC2 called SC@: ghost of the precursours. here the site for the details. https://www.dogarandkazon.com/
The sequel to SC2 is SC3 and came out in the 1990s. SCO is a PREQUEL because it takes place before SC2. SC1 didn't have a backstory and was just a melee arcade combat game.
true but SC3 was made after sc2 but not quite a squeal as a different studio made it and left a lot of the prior questions unanswered. fred and crew are working on a direct sequel if this law-suit issue can be ironed out. and i do own SC-sc3 on old disc and cd's as well the remakes and even the remaster of sc2. SC origins from what i see might be a prequel, but if so the other games never mentions the lexnites ,which would be weird. as if i remember right sc2 we started on the far side of the galaxy doing research and found a precursor ship yard for hauler class ship. might change my option once i finish sc:O and see if they somehow tie into the old story-line.
Do this in the upload request section http://igg-games.com/list-game.html BUT ONLY when all other links for any game are dead. You will know that after reading the rules.
its bcoz some people buy games, that we keep getting new ones. If they stop buying, then the industry will go down. You wont be able to play then, whether you got money to pay or not, coz there wont be games at all. I am studying to be a developer just because i know there are people who will be supporting me since they know i aint no millionaire
Ive bought many things I first tried here. People like you kill game companies. I come here to try things before I buy. If I like I buy it on Steam, if I dont I delete it...
I do the same. Some games I just know I want, so I tend to pre-order. Other things I get iffy about. While I loved the original games, this one just seemed... hokey. Like they didn't quite get what the originals did right. If it's good, I'll buy it, if not it gets a pass.
anyone here who knows how to change language to german? in the steam_emu.ini i change to german, bit it is still in english. and german IS in the game... any idea?
