Hmmm okay I tried it and it feels like it's way too slow for me now.(and usually, I like turn-based games) The original had the perfect pace. But here, having to stop for each enemy and choosing carefully cards seems like a chore to me. It makes sense in Slay the Spire, because each combat is strategic and important, but here, having to stop for even the tiniest enemy is just boring. In the first game, it was also kinda turn-based, with enemies moving one square at the same time as you, and then you only had to choose between 3 or 4 weapons, which could be done with just one click. Simple, easy, fast. Also, very annoying detail : Although the screen is large enough to display your cards, you're forced to hover all of them one by one in order to read exactly what they do, which still doesn't help to choose which one to pick. I don't know about you, but it takes me a LONG time to do this. These little details contribute to make a perfectly paced game a very, VERY much slower version of Space Grunts. 😟
I don't like to be harsh to the developer, but no more than 4/10. It suffers too much from the comparison with the first one. Maybe I would have liked it more if I never played the first game. And if I want a "cards" game, there are so many great options, nowadays...

I'll give it a try.
