This game is so weird. It's completely different from the previous two, both in terms of gameplay(Funny thing, the change in gameplay and rules is actually explained in game) and graphics and while you can play it single player it seems to be more geared towards multiplayer action RPG style instead of turn based. They partnered with THQ instead of Ubisoft this time around and I think it was to their detriment, south park doesn't translate well into 3D, it looks...well, it looks cheap. Suffice to say, this doesn't feel like you're playing an episode of the show.

Honestly, I fully agree with you. At least Ubisoft made the games feel like you were playing an episode of the show. This on the other hand...

bruh what? trey and matt made the games, ubisoft jdid absolutly nothing other than promoting the game and presuring the devs to release dlcs

the creators made the right decision to go to another studio since ubisoft fells way to corporative

Trey and Matt didn't "make" the games. Obsidian developed Stick Of Truth and Ubisoft San Francisco developed Fractured But Whole. Trey and Matt aren't game developers. Matt wrote the script and Trey had a director role. If they felt like Ubisoft was too corporative then they should have headed back to Obsidian Entertainment instead of THQ because this? This aint it?
Also next time you try to "correct" someone, at least come with the correct information or else you're just going to look like an ass

the thing is Obsidian entertainment was bought by Microsoft, so they decided to got with THQ instead, and don't forget that matt and trey had the full freedom of developing the game even thou they did not code the game, they still did the animations, voice acted and such, not just writting the first two games

as with THQ they had to first animate the scene and then THQ have to translate that in 3d, as it seems they did a decent job, i think they needed a bit more polish for the 3d to look good

because THQ did made 3d games that looks pretty good so far

AT MOST what you mean is that Trey and Matt had to storyboard scenes, which is totally different than animating. It's just a picture by picture guideline how you want a shot to be. This game has none of that. It cuts to a character and then cuts to the next or it zooms in a little, nothing where you need a storyboard for.

If you played the game, you would know how clunky this game feels combat wise. It's bad. It's more of a hack 'n slash title which South Park shouldn't be. South Park, Episodes or games, should always be story driven with their unique South Park style. The choise of 3D makes it feel that it was developed to be a phone game, to be honest. It feels rushed anyway, even when you say that "they were forced to rush things and pump out DLC".

THQ WAS a good studio making 3D games, before they announced bankruptcy at the end of 2012. Since then they are a shell of their former selfs.

The only point I'd say was right, is that you said that Trey and Matt had full freedom, but not for development of the game itself. They basically wanted to make a game but if any studio that wanted to develop the game, the studio had to agree that there typical South Park humor and style had to stay the same as the show and not be censored down. And that's what people liked about it, it felt like you played a South Park episode. Though, regions like Germany and Australia got scenes censored in The Stick of Truth specifically, otherwise they wouldn't be able to sell the game internationally. And for Germany, I know they had to censor the parents "sex scene/boss fight" and Nazi imagery, because that is illigal to show there.

Anyway, 3D was a bad choice, THQ sucks nowadays and other than voice acting and writing, Trey and Matt did NOTHING ELSE on this game. They didn't animate, they didn't storyboard (because it's pointless in this game), they didn't develop and AT MOST (again) only oversaw how the game got along while THQ developed it. Other than that, I have no idea where you get that idea or information from that Trey and Matt developed the game themselfs, like animating, rigging, level building and all that.

Only Trey Parker is credited in this game and it's in a writer role, same role he's had in the two previous ones

"they still did the animations" No they did not, they literally wrote scripts and voiced characters, that's ALL they did.
No, THQ did not do a decent job, this looks cheap as hell. not everything translates well into 3D and South Park's unique style definitely did not translate well. And that's not even mentioning the fact that the change to 3D makes absolutely no sense seeing how beloved the two previous games were. Not to mention how short the campaign is(3 hours top) and how limited the gameplay is. Everything feels half baked and unfinished. Not unpolished, straight up unfinished.

ubisoft is the publishers of the first two games, matt and trey made the game, not ubisoft

Next time you come to correct someone, at least do some research. Ubisoft San Fransisco developed Fractured But Whole and Obsidian Entertainment developed Stick Of Truth. Matt and Trey were writers in Stick Of Truth, while in FBW Matt was a writer and Trey had a director role. They did not make the games as they are not game developers.

don't forget that trey and matt also made the voices and animate the scenes

So tell me, with that logic, thinking the people making the IPs also making the games, like you say... how do you think the new Spider-Man games come to be when Stan Lee passed away in 2018? Is he still making those games by h imself, if so how? Do you think he picked up game development with age 77 to make the first Spider-Man game for the PS1 that came out in 2000?

No they did not animate the scenes, they wrote scrips and voiced characters, that's ALL they did. Animations, modeling, all of that was done by the developing studios, be them Obsidian or Ubisoft.
