Played it for a while, it has its good sides and its bad sides. Technically it's a somewhat flimsy Unity engine conversion very similar to the flash game series Mud and Blood. The UI and controls are very flimsy and poorly executed. The graphics are OK. The game has a wide variety of game modes, weapons, units, fortifications and support abilities, as well as ALOT of upgrades you can get for future games by grinding. The most important positive and negative of the game is the same - luck. If you have good luck, you'll do well even if you make poor choices. If you have bad luck, even your best laid plans will fail. But this will only speed up or slow down your grind. Overall i think it's worth trying if you know what you're getting yourself into, but i'm not super impressed with the game.
It's an ancient flash game design that's been re-done a lot of times. I'm going to try this, if only to see if it's as least as good as the old flash games, but i'm not too hopeful.
It's not as good as the game it's based off of, Mud and Blood, but it's not bad. It's way better than it was when I played it in alpha a long time ago, I will say that much. p.s MnB: Recon is overhead but it's one of the best Vietnam-era games I've played.
In all honesty, this game has more in line with the "Endless War" series, then anything else. Never heard of or played Mud and Blood before. It took a while for me to realize MnB meant Mud n Blood and not the proper "Mount And Blade".
This is literally Mud and Blood, but in a different zone by a different developer. I've been following it from the beginning, as stated, and on the main Mud and Blood. site is where it was first posted. Tbh, I don't think it has anything in line with the "Endless War" series except for the art style. The mechanics of Skirmish Line are near exactly the same as MnB. Also, I really recommend playing MnB: Recon... It's really an awesome game for something developed in Flash (he's working on unity port soon, I believe). PS. I'll try not to use MnB anymore, I forgot Mount and Blade exist, and that's mainly what MnB is used for. Thanks for reminding me.
It is alright. Two different backgrounds, lead to two different things. I still feel it has strong ties to Endless war as well. but at the end of the day. Still a game that paved the way for many others. And as a gamer, that is good enough for me.
