Ever played a horror game and went "Man, I wished my character was really sluggish, weapons were cosmetic and I couldn't see shit?", then this is for you.
The character can run, the weapons are effective but you have to step on the hostiles afterwards, and it's pretty dark but the necessary items are highlighted as you get closer.
Checking back on this page, because of a notification, seems like there's few people still being ignorant of how bad this game is. I mean you cant really blame them if their potato pc cant support any new games. But damn this is a genshin grinders' territory.
no way this is rated that good... I have played it and it's just walking from point a to point b five times to open a door. At least silent hill had something going on.
that's all good but the stupid grind makes if frustrating... it's like you know what's going to happen but it takes you a hour to get there. If you put enough time and effort into something it will be good eventually. Not worth the time man. There are other stuff i would rather invest my time
imagine a goat and a fox stranded in desert saw two paths leading to water. One is closer than the other. The fox goes for the closest one. Seeing that, goat chooses the follow the longer route just to spite the sly fox. But his ignorance didnt tell him that there's something called mirage. Enjoy your delayed gratification, all knowing.
How do you not know this ANCIENT story and the moral of it? Its like arguing against the Boy who cried Wolf and completely missing the point of the story.
Oh boy.. I knew someone was bound to go to the age old tactic of attacking ones libido over the critique of a video game. It was only a matter of time. I mean, OP did mention Silent Hill and comparing both games to some degree while stating that Silent Hill had a better story or had more things going on, meaning he has no problems playing long, story driven games. I LOVE this game. I am still playing it over and over as it kinda has an Oxenfree like slight changes per playthru. Tho I disagree with OP's opinion, opinions are not fact so there really shouldn't be a reason why people go out of their way to disprove someone else's "wrong" opinion in terms of what they personally like and dislike.
you seem to be the person who enjoys genshin impact just because you can't afford a good pc. And have the audacity to act like you can satisfy someone. Enjoy your genshin grind, loser.
This is one of the main arguments against the game. Some people don't like to be completely lost in terms of game lore/story 3+hours in and have NO IDEA what the hell is going on. For others, gathering all the clues, puzzles and lore to unlock what exactly is going on is a driving force for many players. But if people are not invested into the story early on, a game that is very story driven of all things, many players are going to tap out. I LOVE this game. Tho I can see why others would lose complete interest 4-6 hours in.
No, its really that good in terms of capturing that old school survival horror feel. The story is crazy amazing once it all comes together and the game was created by two people. Obviously you cannot please everyone and some people do not like how this game looks, feels or operates. Like Oxenfree, this game is meant to be played numerous times with different changes each time you play it, but you can play it just once and still walk away from it surprised.
I can see why you would dislike this game and its a valid point. Its not for everyone.
Okay I have listened (with auto read) to all you replies. You seem to be one of the few people who loves this game and respect others' opinion that goes against.
My overall point is, a decade ago, maybe, it was fun to grind in a video game for endless ours and finish without knowing wtf actually happened and then going for another run. But now it's kind of a stretch to dedicate so much time into one sitting. I'm kind of a guy who binge play for 12-18 hours when sit down. So, when I decide to dedicate that much time, I have to know that half of it won't a pointless grind. Sure the atmosphere and art style has vibes, but I could just google or ai generate pics of that vibe rather than playing a game. Kudos to the two people who made this, but it's not for me.
Oxenfree was also kind of empty but I finished it when it released. But I don't have the patience to dedicate that much time now.
Enjoy your delayed gratification, all knowing.
