Can confirm, CTD on launch in every instance and can play similar titles that run on the same engine such as Astroneer. UE4 is really broken across multiple titles of recent release for various reasons, usually on the developer's side. Not a whole lot we can do for the time being. EDIT: I'll try running a debugger on it and see what comes back.
Hmm, are you running on AMD/ATI for your graphics or Nvidia? I dug through the game files and noticed that this game was very clearly designed for use with Nvidia PhysX, though does support both Direct3D and OpenGL for the render method. There are no configuration files either in the game directory, my documents, or anywhere in AppData. If there is an unsupported function enabled, it could be causing the crash when the Main() render method is started, but it wouldn't even create a bug report.
GG Stormtide. I'm out of ways to debug the issue without the source code as it crashes on both AMD and Nvidia. EDIT I tried to launch using an alternative render method using strictly OpenGL and got this error. It's definitely something to do with how the game is rendered, but I can't get down any further than that before I start getting access violations. http://i.imgur.com/vaufM9e.png Normally I'd write this off as a graphic driver issue, but this just doesn't seem right knowing that our cards should support it. I'm chalking this up to compatibility issues on the development side for not adding the option for user-end configuration. OpenGL is unstable enough as it is to not include configuration settings via a launcher. It may be possible to run the game with a -dx12 parameter, but my integrated card doesn't support DX12 and the game itself was designed for DX11. I even went out on a limb and tried installing the DirectX redist that came with the game, but all of my drivers are newer. It could be related to OpenVR, but I don't have enough information to go on that and simply deleting the files for it isn't enough to generate a CTD before whatever issue is causing it in the first place, so I can't say that it's causing the issue either. All I can say is that the game is crashing before it even gets to the point of initializing the third party files, which isn't giving us much information.
It's called a false positive. All crack files are mistaken for being viruses, but they're not. Somebody come and delete this comment because this person is obviously new
You're new here, arent you? Cracking games to make them work without DRM is tricky and requires some techniques that AV programs do not like. In most cases, it's a false-positive. On this site, it's always a false-positive.
He's an egotistical child that probably doesn't know any better and doesn't wish to better himself with knowledge and will throw out anything we tell him. Some people are lost causes that don't require any-more assistance as he believes it's a trojan and or some type of malware yet it isn't and won't listen to any words of reason and doesn't know how to "look into" the crack and or dll as well as he doesn't know about any type of virtual machines or anything of the sort. He chooses to believe what he wants too and does not want to read into anything else other than what his AV tells him.

Yes, I've tried rebooting my system (3 times)
Yes, I have all required programs installed.

Astroneer works just fine for me.

if it was a virus, then it would not be good for your pc

He just looked at his AV scanning it, and his AV making a false-positive.
