@For newbie: Don't forget crack before launching the game (otherwise you will get the "no license" error). By doing one of the following:
Method 1: before installing the game, check the following box:
Method 2: or after installing the game, open the iso file, copy everything in the "RUNE" folder, then paste them to where you installed the game, enjoy ;) (see tutorial image here if you still dont know: https://igg-games.com/how-885614657-to-install-game-and-update.html)
Don't bother playing this garbage remaster. Download the original Sacred 2 Gold, then go to Nexus, download the Trimmed Elite Textures and copy them to the PAK folder. Next, download Community Patch 1.60 and apply it, and then download the Sacred 2 Enhanced Edition and apply it over everything else. Finally, download ReShade, select Sacred 2.exe, select DX9, and within the game, enable Luma Sharpen, Ambient Light, HDR, and SMAA. That's it! You'll have something that looks better than this lousy remaster and without a single bug. ENJOY😎
Its not even worth it, as they REMOVED lot of original features. I'll stick to my console copies and PC versions I bought. I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD ACTUALLY REMOVE FEATURES from a REMASTER LOLS... Assuming said game features made the game buggy in the original, it played fine tho.
No, "Sacred 2 Remaster" is not a "lazy AI one," but reviews suggest it was a "lazy" remaster in the sense that it made minimal improvements and felt like a "conservation effort" rather than a modernization. Critics note a lack of significant changes to the core mechanics and a simple application of filters, updated UI, and hi-res textures. While the remaster does include modern UI, controller support, and some bugfixes, many feel it doesn't go far enough to be a worthwhile update, especially compared to similar projects like D2 Resurrected....Make it what you will.
Stay clear. This "remaster" is just an AI-upscaled graphics "improvement". The only change they made was to make it easier to play with a controller and harder on Mouse and keyboard. They didn't even bother fixing any bugs at all, just introduce new ones on top of the old ones.
I'd say the first two games in the series were the best ARPGs ever made, and for me, they marked a turning point in this genre. But the truth is, this remaster looks like a cheap knock-off of Oblivion and Skyrim. Come on, people, we're old enough to stop this nonsense.
When a game has a bug in the main menu, you know you're in for a bug feast within the gameplay. I've only played for 2 hours and I've already encountered more than 15 bugs. It's a shame what they've done to this classic.
getting a weird bug that after installing the game i can play it just fine but after closing the game and then trying to reopen the game it just crashes at startup?!?!?
Even games like Warcraft, Final Fantasy use ai to upscale assets.
Come on, people, we're old enough to stop this nonsense.
Who gets the blame for this, THQ?
The Norwegians?
another so called remaster who is in fact a garbage worse than the original
NEEEXT!!!!
