Can't play without the update. Text disappears after you get outside and requires a restart. Note, I am playing on high settings but have not confirmed if that is the issue. Also, when you get to the village, there is a cellar that is completely dark which requires a forced restart (this is confirmed to be fixed via an update). Another early game bug is In the ruins after jump down to a lower level you will fall through the floor and requires a restart.
