To avoid the game freezing because of the Steam achievement system, press F10, then on the list of pages on the left, click achievements.js.

On line 43, add a double slash to comment the line out, like this:
//this.achievementList.find(e => e.name === name).isAchieved = true;

Ctrl+S to save.

You have to do this every time you run the game.

Hey! Where do I press F10? Inside the game, in the game menu?

Just to be 100% clear, when I say "F10", I mean the keyboard key "F10", usually at the top of your keyboard.

It shouldn't matter if you're in game or on the menu, if you press F10, the console should appear.

The game freezes when you kill the final boss on update v.2.0.7

I think it's due to the steam achievment system, the game also freezes when I do too much damage in one hit because it should unlock a steam achievment.
