Tried it out. Far more Rimworld'y than Tower Defense'y than I expected. And that's exactly why I didn't really like it that much. If it was a Tower Defense game with RTS elements, I'd likely dig that quite a bit... ...But the way it is, it's far more about trying to make your colony of Lemmings not kill itself than it is about stuff like making a mighty base/castle like it could seem from many screenshots. Also, maybe I just don't understand something (the tips sure could've told me something about it, eh?), but can't those villagers just hurry up a bit and literally just GO FUCK YOURSELVES some more already...? Please? Really felt like I could barely keep up with the demand for increasingly more workers while my village population rose only by 1 on its own (and by 3 from some traveling nomads or smth like that).
You get points for basically anyting you do and spend those points on the world map for blessings. I got my first unlock after about a hour of messing around.
Dunno, last one that somewhat caught my attention a good few years ago was one of those "GemCraft" games tho. Got kind of tired of it pretty fast, but that's a weirdly normal thing for me to experience, and I've read that the developers updated the game quite a bit and it's really good now or something like that, so it might actually be pretty decent right now.

And great graphics make a game better? I see Anthem,BF V and even the new Ghost Recon aren't doing too great even though they look great.
