What I did was add the game to steam, right click rhythm doctor after adding it to steam, go to properties and where it says "launch options" type this: -force-d3d11
After that I launched the game through steam and it worked!
You can do this without Steam. Right click the .exe and select create shortcut.. Then, right click the shortcut, hit properties, and add a space, then, after the space, add -force-d3d11 to the end of the Target field.
Hit OK and launch the game from the shortcut. This is what Steam refers to as a "Launch parameter", IIRC. The other method of accomplishing the same thing would be to create a new text file in the same directory as the executable and open it in Notepad. Write the following in it, then click File > Save as..., select "All files" as the type, and name it "start.bat" without the quotes. (Note: NOT "start.bat.txt") Then double click start.bat to launch. The following is what you'd type in the Notepad:
"Rhythm Doctor.exe" -force-d3d11
Alternatively, instead of a batch script (.bat) you can use a PowerShell script (.ps1). Save it instead as "start.ps1" (without the quotes) and write the following instead:
& '.\Rhythm Doctor.exe' -force-d3d11
Then double click start.ps1to launch.
Finally, as an alternative to the first method using shortcuts, you can (instead of Create shortcut) select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut), which will place the shortcut on the desktop. The rest of the steps remain the same.
the black screen problem is exclusive to the IGG download it seems. I got it after downloading it through here, but the game worked perfectly when I downloaded it form a different place.
I accidentally chose the import from steam workshop action in Custom Levels, now it won't work. I can't do anything in the warning screen. Can you please help?
Don't worry, we are working on founding something similar on YouTube, we estimate the server will be operational in about 5 years... So maybe we have 6 or even 7 videos of it xD
this game was in production for 9 years, first time I saw it was 6 years ago. I love this game, now I don't have the money but I will definitely buy it when I have. Thank you IGG, for now I'm going with the cracked.
This right here is how you convince pirates to buy your game, not by paying for some overpriced "protection" that will get cracked anyway and cause issues with your game. Nice tact developer I look forward to trying this game I've heard nothing but praise so far.
Hey, I want to translate your game in french for free (as long as you credit me)! I worked on Lifespeed for New3DS! Please drop me a mail at exxon.xl@gmail.com
As a primary care physician, I do agree that every patient has their own 'rhythm'. Meaning one has to cater the treatment according to the person's requirement and wishes. Sad to see most doctors just blindly write prescriptions choke-full of needless medicines. But I digress, this game is great!
you'll see that the rhythm treatment doesnt actuallydoa damn thing, it'smore like homeoppathic learning and fixing their problemsthrough the power of music
Yeah, its definitely not something allopathic medicine would advocate. However I remember when I was doing rotation in the surgical unit, we used to play music in the OR to relax patients before their surgery. It didn't always work, guess not many of them liked classical...hehe
Here is my 10+ Mins Gameplay of this guys. Hope you liked it :) PS. Holy Crap this is a good game with a unique playstyle. Rhythm game at its finest even tho its an indie game :))) https://youtu.be/7obx8J9WcCg
