the game wont start when starting from desktop,and when starting from folder i get this error mesage
failed to open descriptor file '../../../FinchGame/FinchGame.uproject'
(sorry im new here and couldnt figure out how to add a screenshot)
solving either of my problems would help i just want to play the game

For What Remains of Edith Finch, where does the crack file go after going through the setup. I tried everywhere that made sense but everything still took me to steam.

In case you (or anyone else) are still wondering, you just replace the original folders with the ones of the same name in the crack folder. The "FinchGame" folder in the crack folder should replace the "FinchGame" folder set up by the installer (presumably located in your program files if you didn't change the installer's location). Then take the "Steamworks" folder from the crack folder, and replace the "Steamworks" folder set up by the installer (if you can't find it, click engine>binaries>third party and "Steamworks" should be listed there). Now you should be able to run the game by using the new application in the "FinchGame" folder. Hopefully this helps!

I install and crack the game and then I try to play it but it brings up the global shaders cache error, I fix that and then it brings up DX11 level 10 is required to run the engine.

Usually games have 32 bit versions, so I would try it, but don't get your hopes up too much.

I have no clue, My guess would be try running as admin, If that doesn't work, can you try to post more info on the problem? A google search of the error is inconclusive, This is something I haven't seen before.

Were all your Malware Protection Programs turned off? Make sure Windows Firewall, Windows Defender, and any other programs such as Norton or Mcafee are disabled. Then reinstall.
