My game bugged when I was near the ending :( I checked the game on Steam and it had 5 patches because of bugged endings, lol I will wait for free update here to continue my play through or wait for a sale.
Whenever I try to execute the .exe and play the game, the file gets deleted on it's own, and then I have to delete the whole folder (because it doesn't let me copy over just the missing files saying I don't have permission) and extract it all again. Does anyone have a fix for that?
I like this game, but it doesn't have automatic save progress, so I lost first 30 minutes and must play from start again :D. U must save your progress by yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKoQSqfMrEU&t=4s
description kinda lied you cant be any gender or any personality as far as im aware. The game kinda nudge you the hard way into romancing the male vampire despite my intention to play straight male. Despite my intention to shoo them away they still unnaturally shove themselves to player which is pattern mostly found in badly written otome game. Lastly despite they try to simulate vampire the masquerade clan with their house system all house dosent feel that different. 1st is icarin which is Ventrue and Toreador combined. Despite it based on interesting clan in VTM it tured out bland 2nd is Mavvar which is straight ripped off Brujah with even less brain. 3rd Gol which basically watered down malkavian....... despite option to chose stupid answer they felt not crazy enough due to voices and vision to conclude it, The game should have "otome game" tag since the game supposed to be play as female otherwise the game will try it best to turn you into a gay which is disonnected me to the narration i wanted to build.
Woo-boy, you were sadly mislead, I can't Steam check, so I don't know what Steam says on the game, I'm assuming what's written here, but this game is obviously romance, rejecting that fate "optional only on bad choice picking". On the Otome part, being a heterosexual female player, I'm glad, and others like me can count ourselves lucky, the game even gave you the option to be female, as the creators are known for dishing out BL (Boy Love)/YAOI type games, and I'm sure this one was planned to be as well, but then somewhere down the line they felt "Nah, I think we can pull off character customization!" and added the option to LOOK female, you should not have been tricked into thinking this game would allow a straight man to be untouched by the gay, it's like searching for a virgin female protagonist in a "Modern Woman" erotic romance novel (<---little inside joke, you can ignore this :v). People already pointed some out, but let me give you a few visual novel hunting tips that might help prevent you from making this mistake again, take it with a grain of salt: Tip #1— Look at trailers/covers: All the main characters are male, they show a picture of one woman (who is not a main character), and I'm pretty sure she's not romance-able (don't quote me, haven't finished playing, honestly will not try to test it, but the quote below states I'm right). Let's say pictures don't work for you, the page gives you, and I quote "Three (male) mentors to choose from, with optional romance routes". Male is clearly stated, so if you want to dabble in romance, it's 100% androsexual. Tip #2— VNs are popular for their romances, so expect it: Yes, other genres of VNs exists, and some are really good, but majority of VN players and people who know what VNs are, will be looking for romance SOMEWHERE in the VN. Though Otome is an okay label if you believe the homosexuality is portrayed in a way where only women, and not gay men, would likely enjoy it, then, sure, but once again, the creators of this VN mainly makes male homosexual VNs, I'm pretty certain on my assumption that this game was made gay male first, straight female second, gynephilia there's the door (now on the topic of realistically gay male, I cannot help...). This game is safe to be labeled Otome as I'm sure that wouldn't scare any gay men away, but I hate it when creators classify BL/YAOI as Otome, as me being a woman, and not a BL/YAOI fangirl, I don't find it appealing, which Otomes are supposed to “appeal to females”. Let's keep Otomes in Otomes, BLs/YAOIs in BLs/YAOIs, and straight man V-... oh, wait, females, gays, and non whites are the only ones who get separated from “Normal”... Tip #3— Almost 99% of games, especially VNs, that say you have a "choice", don't really mean it: and it's not their fault (most of the time). It's hard (or should I say “long and grueling”?) to make a game with branching romance without doing 1 of 2 things, either 1; the game won't feel romantic, until that one moment something romantic happens once, then never again as it focus on the story, or 2; the RIs (Romantic Interests) feel like they're shoving their love down your throat at every corner, especially if you reject them, because you won't know the outcome of your choices until you reach the end and get the "Good", "Bad", and/or “Love” End. I'm afraid this is something you're going to have to accept when you play a VN, so go in it WANTING a romance (and a few unrequited), or pick a VN that states there are none, so you won't be bothered with RIs pawing at you. Tip #4—When indie/PC VN hunting, try reading the forums of the game's engine: go to the engine's sites (we know what they are), maybe somewhere in the forums where they advertise Completed Games, and see if they have any special labels (wink wink, nudge nudge). I was following this game back in their making on the game engine's site, and it clearly listed [Insert Gender]xB; the "B" stands for "Boy". It's also where I spotted their other games, Argent Games, which makes this the first game they made with a female protagonist, but still following the track of romanc-able men. Also, on a more bias note, that may or may not be true (still researching) I'm pretty good at spotting "sexuality" in the art, and this is certainly not "straight man" art, it's more on the female/pretty boy androphilia type art, so be careful when you see a man as sexy as Markus, ya character's probably gonna wanna fuck him and he them.
The description didn't lie - during character creation you had the option to choose a sprite with or without breasts along with more feminine or masculine facial features and your pronouns. The description also states: "† Three (male) mentors to choose from, with optional romance routes". It doesn't mention any female ROs besides your blood pet and that's just a side thing (plus the female one comes pretty late in the game). So you weren't deceived, you just didn't pay attention to the description (and from the looks of it, neither did you googled the game to see if it was your thing. That's what happens when you download willy-nilly without doing a little research. :P)
Well, the feminists, and weirdo part is right, I'll take those titles, thank you, but I don't see how this game would attract men who allow their wives to cheat??? But I welcome those Kinky sluts, too ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (Ooo~, or is this a secret game spoiler?!). Cheers, I'm sure you'll have fun!
Is this the v1.0 or v1.5? Apparently the game had some slightly major bugs that had to be fixed so I'm wondering what version this is. Also, thank you for the game Gabgster!
I just realised the game version is v1.40 so it will be fine except if you are pursuing Markus special ending which is still bugged and only fixed at v1.50.
