Go to C:\Users\Username\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings
If at some point, while playing, you start to encounter serious performance issues, then edit each of the pipeline cache files with a text editor like notepat++, and erase all the data in them. Then save the files, and mark them as read only. Do for all of them except the "sga_vulkan_final_init.vkWarmupCacheWiheaderWindows" file. You can also mark as read only, the BIN files. Do not open and erase their data. Just mark them as read only.
Those are vulkan files. If using DX12, do that for the corresponding DX12 files.
3) Disable Power Throttling for Your System
Open your Group Policy Editor in Windows, and navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Tools\System\Power Management\Power Throttling Settings\
Then Select Turn off Power Throttling and change it to Enabled
By default, power throttling is enabled for all systems, regardless of your Power Plan. Disabling this feature will drastically improve system performance, and sometimes drastically. of course, this will consume more power, so laptop users may need to take that into consideration while their device is not plugged into the wall.
4) Memory Pool Management
Head over to Nexus Mods and download a mod titled "A Modest Memory Pool Booster for LML". This will improve performance and reduce stutters.

reinstall reshade, and follow (preset mod instructions) if using one to setup. reshade works fine. iirc home opens reshade, but im not sure if thats what i set it to use or not. when setting reshade up, make sure your using vulkan, (may use dx11/12 too) but native the game runs with vulkan.
this "ultimate" version has all DLC's. just click the torrent link on this page, itll take you directly to its counterpart. which should have all DLC as well.
cractro is razors launcher thing that makes you wait 12 seconds or so. then if your not paying attention the game doesnt start bc you failed to realize you gotta hit ESCAPE to make it go. the "patch" removes that iirc so you dont need to wait nor press esc.
i think i understand what your asking, there are two links on torrent, download this first. then the bottom if you wanna avoid that esc thing i mentioned after which is a small patch.
hey, don't think anyone will see this or have a solution for it but I've installed the game properly but when I launch it, it goes to a black screen for a few seconds then crashes immediately, tried this on steamunlocked too but its the same issue
A fix for the error above is to change from vulkan to DX12 in your system.xml file in C:\Users\ {ur user}\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings
for those having issues getting graphics settings to stick to what you set them as. *this isnt a bug with the crack bc i own the game on epic since pre launch. its always had this issue with DX12 as well for those who own the game, and wanna be able to play without needing internet or epic, steam, rockstar launchers running
go into C:\Users\URPC\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2 right click "settings" folder, hit CUT paste it somewhere outside of the RDR2 folder or desktop in my case.
then make a new "settings folder" and once you make it, right click and hit the box where it says read only and apply.
then start up your game. (if you switch to DX12) it may not stick. so, leave it in vulkan mode.
if you alt+tab out, it will put it into windowed mode. which youll need to switch back if you wish to use full screen.
once you do that and have ran the game, and have set your graphics settings, the "read only" box should auto reapply itself. and your settings SHOULD stay!
For those wanting OFFLINE abilities! if you OWN the game, and hate using the rockstar launcher as well as epic/steam too. you can use the "crack" files here(which will also work if you "misplaced/deleted the crack files during your 20+ part download) and paste those in the games folder. (back up the two files it wishes.
if you use the crack files. launch the game from the LAUNCHER you copied! wait 10/20 seconds, then hit ESCAPE! the game will launch then without epic, steam, or rockstar launchers taking resources! or needing network connection to play!
if you wish to go back, for whatever reason, paste the backup files back inside. and remove the 1911.dll you pasted in prior!
dont just turn off antivirus, add an exclusion for where your downloading this game too. as well as where its installed. you wont need to "turn off antivirus" if you have a folder dedicated to where cracked games are going. and have added an exclusion in your antivirus software to "overlook" where they go.
when your met with "license error" or "activation error" like what you have here, is due to the crack itself which is what bypasses the license has been removed/deleted by antivirus software during download, or when you turned it back on.
if you still have the game files, and have not gotten it to work, you can give this a try. paste it into the games installed location try just the plain two files first before trying the launcher exe.
to get to the spot where you must install that, right click on the shortcut on desktop hit "open file location" and that should take you there.
backup the files its asking you to replace before doing so tho.
make sure your antivirus isnt interfering with this download either!
when you do this btw, run it from the "launcher" and after 10/20 seconds, hit ESCAPE. this also works for the PAID version to avoid needing rockstar games launcher. but, you MUST launch it from the "launcher icon". not RDR2 icon!

if your game is MISSING files, your antivirus software is indeed removing it. rather your not turning it off, or its removing the stuff when you turn your antivirus software back on. thus adding the games location to an exclusion is the best idea!
its important to have your drivers up to date as well. the reason i ask about your pc specs, it may just not be able to run this due to perhaps a lack of instruction set needed for this game, as its pretty demanding.

Im already about 19% into the game and it was working just fine but now at any random point, my game just randomly closes without any error messages. Any help or suggestion on why this happens.
I only know of one way and that is to change the windows language its very easy you just look for language under the windows settings and change it but notice it does not affect the speaking language Arthur will still speak english hahaha
Actually I found a different, much more easy way to do so while searching online: Simply create a text file named commandline on the game's install folder and in that text file type -rglLanguage=en-US. When you launch the game, all the ext will be in English or whatever other language you choose

When you ran the game originally, you did so via the launcher.exe right? Cause if you don't the game will just error out. Your OS might be the issue, yeah. The only other solution would be to change your OS's language
must be the OS for sure this OS is quite a shit, it has a very rare flickering bug when you lock at something in the screen but dissapears if theres any movement from the mouse or animations like your badges

Okay found the solution. The save file for this is located at "%appdata%/.1911/Red Dead Redemption 2/profile" So just paste all your files in the profile folder here and it works!
