One of the most addictive games I've ever played. Also the best "idle" game, by far, in my opinion. Especially thanks to that seemingly unlimited content. For some weeks, Realm Grinder was the first app I opened as soon as my computer was on, and the last thing when I shut it down. I have to say that in my humble opinion, the real reason which makes this game so addictive is that it's not a basic clicker game like so many out there. If anything, after a few "reincarnations", you can reduce clicking to a minimum, especially when you use auto-clicking upgrades, for example. And even if you don't(it depends on the faction you associate with), you still have many other ways to avoid too much clicking and destroying your mouse. lol This game is very intelligently done, I think. Most of the time I spent on this game was searching how to unlock upgrades, how to find powerful artifacts, how to do challenges, etc. Nothing like some boring frenetic clicking like in Cookie clicker, for example. I don't want to exaggerate, but sometimes it almost feels like a city building and economic simulation game, mixed with some basic RPG features... Except, all of this is reduced to the bare essentials. lol No fighting, no exploration, no story, no graphics and sounds(almost lol)... Just focus on "leveling up". I'm afraid I finally reached my limit with this game though... I'm at reincarnation 42, I have only 32 artifacts (10 quest, 22 lore), 700/823 trophies, but now the remaining tasks are simply too hard or time-consuming... Like, how is that even possible to get the artifact "fortune teller machine", when you're at R42? You need to do loooots of excavations without being affiliated with any faction... But at R42, you can't do as many excavations as before, since you "ascended"... And at a 0,1% dropping rate, good luck getting it! And since excavations are NOT reset when you abdicate, then you're screwed... Cos imagine you need that special artifact in order to progress, but you can't excavate anymore? I'm afraid that's my case... Which reminds me... I read that one of the artifacts can be obtained only when you play around 5am... lol! And I assume that changing the hour on my computer won't work, since this game connects to the "cloud" and it checks the universal time or something, right? Yeaaaaah NO. I'm not going to get up at 5am only to get a damn artifact. lol I would spend a sleepless night for Half-Life 3, but not this, nope. 😄 Anyway, everything is like this in this game. Requirements were fun at first, but this has become ridiculous. Anyway, I feel like this game could be seriously improved, and it especially badly needs some kind of in-game tutorials, for example... Goals are way too unclear. There's a "helper" but she's worthless, because she only gives you basic tips... I had to google every single step right from the beginning. (which reminds me a bit of the first versions of Terraria... If I remember correctly, there were no tips at all about how to craft things... I had to use google in the background constantly...) It also needs some serious balancing (I need to check the latest changelog), and make some of the requirements easier for "normal" humans. lol I know the game has been balanced many times since the first version, and usually it was for the better. So I'm still hopeful! The only good side about it is that I thought I would end up being addicted for LIFE, but nope. I was finally cured, thanks to the ridiculous requirements as you reach the higher levels...😋👍 Not finding a game fun anymore is the best way to stop an addiction. lol I still think that idle(clicker? lol) games haven't reached their full potential yet. Realm grinder has shown us the right way, I hope more developers will try to improve this path and come up with even better games, with more RPG elements, a faster and less grindy gameplay, etc. Btw, the game is free and I'm not sure if IGG will ever update it. I think this version is 2.7 but now it's supposed to be 3.0...
