RogueLITE ffs, especially if you want to hate a game genre, at least learn what it actually is (Edit: after typing this, I noticed that literally the game description uses this incorrect descriptor, which is just ridiculous at this point...) And out of all the possible genres to hate, roguelites are a very weird choice, considering how much actual diversity there is among them
is a top-down roguelike action game , read the first line , im just going by how they spell it , take your qualms up with the person who wrote the original desc
I really hope they balance the difficulty on this one is future patches. On the 2nd difficulty level, it can be straight up impossible to win. Every monster is spongy as hell and hits like a mack truck, and they spawn in way, WAY too many elites.
It reminds me of Diablo3 when that first came out, if anyone remembers that. "And then we doubled it!" Did they even playtest this?
If the straw house spawns, end your run. If you don't have ultimate by the time you get pulled to the first boss, end your run. If you go down on the first stage, end your run. If it decides to spawn in 2 elite priests in a giant horde of a dozen monsters when you are only level 2, end your run.
Nice art design. All he monsters and characters are attractively drawn. Its got destructible environments, which is a nice touch.
Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense other then that. Its not intuitively clear, what any of the upgrades do, what any of the powers do, what you are supposed to do...
I didn't see a save function anywhere. To take a break and save some progress, and figure out where they're going with any of this.
Its a very pretty hit the button and smash things game. Similar to anything out of Japan.

Franz: Anyway, I started blasting

Save yourself the grief.

I'm thinking Passtech is a French dev.
Which would explain why it would be pretty,
but confused in the gameplay department.
The French have been doing that since the PSX days.
Even Ubisoft does that.
