Thanks for the update! I've deleted and reinstalled the game again and again now. Not because I can't run it but because I am super addicted and I just couldn't quit.
I've missed a job interview and shrunken my social circle within two weeks because of this game. I'm not even joking this game is like digital fentanyl.
On the brighter side, it also taught me more about socioeconomics, market manipulation, and elitism more than my entire school.
Yeah. I've just got into an internship so I think I will use my hard earned money to buy the game next month. Sad to say that I don't have the time for the game as much as I used to anymore.
Finding it tedious and repetitive to having to manually bring wounded and corpses to their respective destinations such as beds or graves, and even cemetary can only hold 10 max, that is ridiculous when the aftermath is 80 corpses laying around. Ratopia has its ups and down, but it lacks urgent and essential automation to deal with so many issues involving any life and death logistics. Enjoyable at first, then starts to feel half baked. 5/10
Hard game, complicated law system and you can softlock yourself if you start building before having a city entrance (character cant jump if she's too high up, blocks are too far apart from each other)
But I found it enjoyable, it's like Rimworld but you're part of the colony
The only thing I really don't like is that there's no solitary recreation joy things like throwing hoops, chess and such
It still does IF you get an older steam cracked dll file and its configuration for this game. Remember, steam announced it won't be compatible with W7 anymore as of Apr 2024, so cracks made for it neither will. Still, most games will not need those new dll, only new games might and games that add new steam specific features.
As long as you do not see a D3D12 folder appear in the main game folder, it should run fine most of the time with older cracks, very rarely it will work with D3D12 folder too but it might need some workaround like kernel extender that are risky to play with.
Well, I can tell you that I'm currently running v1.0.0520 on W7 without issues. I got a RUNE based DLL for an other game and just changed the app ID in the ini file. I just wonder what does the crack lines at the bottom of the ini does exactly. Probably some bytecode replacement specific for the game it came from and unless those exact lines exists in Ratopia, they should have no effect. :) Also, be sure to have the MS Visual C++ redist files and .net desktop files updated (I don't even check what game uses what, I jus have them all installed up to .net v8)
Anyway, I was curious what they did with puthfinding, enemis generations & some bugs. I'm not a fun of adding electrisity in this game and, most important, the way they did it (at least what i saw in update announcement). And adding robo-mouses... Well, I didnt expect Industrial Revolution so soon. I planed built "ratopia", not "robotopia".
Well, you got a more optimistic respond: "Currently I don't have a newer version of this game, I will upload it as soon as I have." So maybe it will be updated in the near future.

...right?(please say yes)
Time for the #9, I guess?
Never mind.
By the way, Ratopia has not been updated for two months, so I don't expect much. But it's free here, so - whatever.
There is full English support via the English interface, English audio and English subtitles!

I had already given up hope of playing this on W7. Thank you so much for your help.

Anyone else with this bug?
Just in case.
