Enter the Gungeon, budget edition. Based on 1-1.5 hours of playing, the combat and weapons feel satisfying and solid. I encountered 2 game-breaking bugs in the first 15 minutes and one of them is consistent (every time yo do a certain thing, it breaks the game). Also, it sounds funny but I haven't yet managed to dodge-roll 😂 Neither with Keyboard&Mouse nor with the controller. I mean the binding is there and it can be changed but pressing it doesn't do anything ... Although I searched and saw people doing it on YT. So it's a mystery to me as to why it is so. Overall, I think it will possibly get a lot better in the future updates. It is for those people who have had their fill of Enter the Gungeon and still crave more.
I'm back, played a bit of it, it definitely takes big inspiration from the gungeon but it has way more effort put into it for me to lump it as a cheap a rip-off. it's fun and the gameplay feels solid so far, scratches the same itch as ETG too, I'll keep playing and report back if anything changes. Edit: been running into some bugs, noticed some guns and weapons follow the same form of attack with only the visuals being slightly different, also you can't dodge roll for some reason despite that being in the bindings, I think it's best to wait on this one to bake for a while and ask for an update then.
