To those wondering why this game isn't updated (and is missing DLC), it's all because of Denuvo and the scene group Empress. It's not IGG-Games fault.
Empress were the only scene group that could crack games with Denuvo, however they were also "mercenaries" who only cracked a game if someone paid them hundreds of dollars/euros for it (while, traditionally, scene groups do it for free and for the challenge) - which is inane since if someone has that kind of money to spare, they'd probably just buy the game legitimately, as it would often be cheaper... but I digress.
In short, unless some other group comes along and challenges Empress monopoly, or Empress themselves return and stop being money-grubbing c****, games like these will never get updated, and newer Denuvo-infected games won't be available.
if your game crush the only thing i can help is like with the others. roll back gpu drivers to 496.76 it will work. Sadly i don't know any other solution for now, if they crack a newer patch, it will go away i hope.
I want to share my discovery to run the game with no crashes anymore. Finally all is resolved without any driver update or downgrade or local save in .ini file (LocalSave=1 just changes the location from AppData to game folder, nothing that could change the behaviour of starting the game, so it can stay = 0).
The issue is this file C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EMPRESS\703080\EMPRESS\1d93.bin
Delete it and it will "reset" the crack as it were the first run. Must delete at each start of the game!! Luckily Career and Save games are kept. They are under: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EMPRESS\703080\Frontier Developments\Planet Zoo\random number\2 folders: Config and Saves.
1) To improve thedeleteand run experience, createa batch textfile (.bat) inside the game install folderwith following inside:
del C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\EMPRESS\703080\EMPRESS\1d93.bin
start"""Install Folder path\PlanetZoo.exe"2) Create a Desktop link to this file3) Change icon with"Install folder path\PlanetZoo_0.ico"4) Permission: Link properties (right click onit), Advancedbutton, check"Run as Administrator".

If and when a new random number folder is created keep this latest folder and copy/move the Config and Saves folders into the latest random folder before you start the game.
Somethings didn't make sense to me if after updating the latest drivers (any driver after the game came out is the "latest" and currently I have no graphic card at all: I use Intel Graphic drivers of December 2023 from 14900K CPU on Desktop and I got the same issue) the first run worked with no crash but subsequent executions not run anymore, drivers couldn't be the issue (otherwise even the first time wouldn't run).
Its working for me now, no more crashes at start. I came across this video "https://youtu.be/aEahUqYwupM" I installed the 472.12 WHQL GPU driver version, not using the link on video but manually by my hands from nvidia site (just to make sure i was not getting virus), even tho i had more recent drivers (528.49). i still have the most recent drivers and now the game opens. Hope this help ppl, seams it as nothing to do with the crack but something in that specific nvidia update. have fun

i wanted to play the game again after a couple of months. the drive gpu crash happens. i did update the drivers but nothing works. it's probably the game's fault since many people on steam have issued such matter. however they got an update and works for them. so basically since no one is cracking the game again or giving it an update we most likely won't be able to play this ever. unless somehow we find which old gpu driver version it works with. sadge
