Thanks for the help. After looking at the .bat file, I've found Windows users can achieve the same effect by creating a shortcut to PathlessWoods.exe, opening the shortcut's properties window (bottommost option on the right-click menu), and adding " steam_call" (without the quote marks) to the end of the "Target" field. This will let you pin the shortcut to your Start menu, since the shortcut leads directly to the .exe file instead of to a .bat. (Not that I know why the Start menu dislikes .bats so much...)
A masterful example of the minimum viable product. It looks much nicer than most games with budget graphics, runs with very few bugs, has a core gameplay loop, and...yes, that's about everything. The exploration involves going to nearly identical biomes collecting nearly identical items to craft items with unique visuals for basically identical effects, the "challenge" of combat consists mostly of walking up to hit things and praying nothing spawns in to one-shot you from offscreen during your attack combos' disgustingly long recovery times, and the story doesn't really exist. If you're like me, you're liable to get suckered into thinking a game with bones this solid has to be going somewhere once you get over the initial hump, and like me you'd be wrong. It's not even bad in interesting ways, it's just artfully designed to look good on a storefront and play just well enough to achieve pity thumbs-ups during its elongated EA status while costing as little as possible to produce. Don't waste your time on this game.

Does anyone know how to run this on Steam Deck? It keeps crashing after the first two intro screens. I Launched it from Steam in Proton experimental and hotfix modes, and I also tried launching it with DX11 option, but the issue still persists.
I had the same issue, here's how I fixed it: If you pay attention, there's a file that says that you should start the game by launching "Launcher.bat" but I did not have that file so I assumed it was an error but after having your issue I ran a "force recheck" on the torrent I used to download the game and then I got all the files including "Launcher.bat". After using that file it works.
