This is me being nit-picky, but why do they call it a heroine route? I get the route part, but what did the love interest do? Did they save a kitten out of a tree or something?
I'm gonna guess you're new to VN; Heroine Route are called to branch story that separates after you read the "common route" which from the start until certain chapter in the VN. Each heroine (aka the girls who are we can called main cast aside from the MC) had it's own respective routes.
what did the love interest do It's complicated; it's something some hardcore otakus call "flags" where MC interacts with the heroine of choosing in what one may consider minor, etc that slowly develop a bond between the MC and the heroine. Even myself can barely describe that, as each VN follow either similar or unique way to trigger/unlock a route.
Huh.. I appreciate the explanation. I've had a few VNs under my belt, but this is the first time I've ever heard the term heroine used in this matter. I guess it's just a name the vast community gave. I have several questions about it, but I can roll with it.
