you forgot to download all the 5 parts. They should be kept in the same folder and not renamed. then you have to start extracting from the first part. rest of the parts will follow automatically.
Go to the game's install directory, in my case it's "C:\Games\Okami HD" and run "LanguageSelector.exe". If that doesn't work for any reason, you can also open "steam_emu.ini" and change the language there by changing "Language=english" to one of the other supported languages. Note that the game only supports Japanese, German, French and English.
I'm not sure why people are having trouble with the game saves not working...But for those that are experiencing issues regarding the game not saving or savegames just not working: Make sure that you downloaded the fixed crack as this is NOT included in the main download Additionally, check your %SystemDrive%\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\587260 folder and make sure that none of those folders are protected or set to read-only. Double check permissions and try running the game as an administrator (yes, even if you are on an admin account) and see if that helps. Finally, make sure you do not install games to your Program Files folder. Instead, make a folder somewhere else (i.e. C:\Games) and install all of your games, cracked or otherwise, there. Adding exceptions to your AV software so it ignores this folder and everything in it also goes a long way to helping prevent common issues.
GOD BLESS YOUR MOTHER MAN.....REALY THANKS IT WORKED FOR ME...I DOWNLAODED THE GAME FROM OTHER WEPSITE AND IN THE COMMENT THEY SAY THE FIX IS IN "igg-games".....I DOWNLAODED YOUR CODEX FILE IN RE-INSTALL IT IN MY GAME FOLDER AND IT WORKED...<3
Are you using a controller or mouse+keyboard? The only ghosting I've run across is that the game sometimes doesn't read my left clicks during battle while moving (or when trying to dash) but the button works perfectly while drawing with the celestial brush.
I've...never really heard of anyone experiencing this o.o If you can you could try showing us a picture of what you mean and see if anyone has any ideas how to fix it.
Sure. The first image shows the ghost outline from the pc version. The second image shows the PS2 version (via PCSX2 emulator) with no ghost outline present.
Disqus won't let me edit my previous comment for some reason >.> I did some searching and found some official screenshots of the game's PS3 version on initial release of the HD remake and an image from the PS4 release, both actually display that ghostly outline. From the PS3 version: And the PS4 version: So yeah, seems like the white ghostly outline is an intended feature of the HD remake, seems to give Ammy an afterimage-like effect when she runs, too. There's also this Steam Community subject on the matter: http://steamcommunity.com/app/587620/discussions/0/1617220671493970821/ EDIT: It's also present in the PS2 version. Emulators can't quite handle post-processing so unless you run them in hardware mode (which is buggy) it won't render the outline, but screenshots and videos of the PS2 version ran off consoles do show the ghostly outline as well. At least according to Google, anyway...
Okay, I actually didn't even notice it until you showed me the comparison o.o Ran the game to check and I have it too. My guess is it might have to do with the post processing that the game seems to naturally include to make everything look softer, I have noticed that Ammy's model seems a bit more softer and obviously higher quality compared to her model back on the PS2, so it might just be something related to the HD remake.
While proper spelling would be "Ookami", the game has been known as "Okami" since its release in the West, primarily due to the fact that few people had the ability to type out the Ō. Spelling it "Ookami" would've just led to confusion, so the single-O spelling was maintained even though it's incorrect. Nowadays it's just how the game's known in the West, although few places do spell the title as "Ōkami".
Random question for other mouse+keyboard users, anyone else finding themselves having to mash left click to be able to get the clicks to register? I don't know if it's my mouse type or what, but sometimes the game just won't register my left clicks for some reason and it's the only game this happens with.
I play with keyboard plus mouse and the only issue that I had was the over sensitivity of the mouse. The clicks works fine, I just have some issues with the dodge but that can be my keyboard messing around
Weird. Guess it's my mouse then, though it's a bit odd it works fine with literally every other game I play with it. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Get the fixed crack and replace the crack included with the game download. Saving works fine as long as you're using the crack fix correctly and replace the appropriate files.
You download it from this page, extract the files and then replace the relevant files in your game's install directory with those from the fixed crack. It's the same process as when cracking a game for the first time.
Yay, Okami finally made its way to PC! I think this is one of my favorite adventure games so far. This port is hard capped at 30 FPS due to internal engine limitations, but it really doesn't affect gameplay at all unless you're just nitpicky. The one issue I came across is the well-known gamepad issue. This game does not have native gamepad support, it instead allows the use of a gamepad through Steam. This means that there's simply no easy way to use a gamepad with this or any pirated version (it's possible, but requires external programs and a bit of luck to get it working okay). Fortunately the Mouse+keyboard controls are very good, but there is nothing IGG can do to fix the game's lack of controller support. It is a game fault, not a crack issue. The game itself works fine, I'm running this on a 3.70GHz Intel Core i3 4360, 8GB RAM and a 2GB Nvidia GT 730 MSI, I get the capped 30FPS at all times (And 60FPS in menus) with max settings, the listed requirements are really not at all accurate and you can play just fine even with weaker hardware. Overall, a pretty good port. Thanks for the upload!
My understanding is that every version of Okami is hard capped at 30 FPS. I know for a fact the Wii, PS2 and PS3 versions have a hard 30 FPS cap and I THINK the PS4 version does too. According to Capcom, the reason for this is that the game's internal clock was set to run at 30 FPS, as the HD remakes still use the animations, collision, etc. from the PS2/Wii version. They dabbled in raising it to 60 FPS, but they found out that doing so broke collision and animations, meaning they'd have to rework pretty much everything from the ground up. Personally I don't think there's any reason to ask for anything higher than 30 since the game's animations are already very fluid.
Legit version players have ps/xbox button layout doesnt that mean they got full controller support? and I read some of the steam community post they can play without big picture and steam overlay turned off btw I can play it perfectly with steam + joy2key.. and on my way to oni island now, although it's hard sometimes since im used to playstation controller layout
The game itself has controller support (i.e. it does display different button layouts for the tutorials and stuff depending on your controller) but it uses Steam to recognize the controller, which is why most users have to use big picture mode and the steam overlay to be able to use a controller at all. I don't know if the few people that claim it works for them are using any third-party software or not, and as you mentioned yourself you're using joy2key. It's perfectly possible to use a controller with pirated versions, but my point was that it's not as simple as just plugging it in and getting it immediately recognized by the program (And x360ce doesn't seem to work with it for some reason). I might give joy2key a try since the mouse click lag is a bit awkward but I'm debating if it'd be worth the hassle.
joy2key is just extra button for confirm and cancel.. since I don't know how to have 2 function on 1 button with steam.. with the help of joy2key I can combine it with steam to make triangle as dig(steam) + cancel (joy2key) and jump(steam) + confirm (joy2key). I'm using mouse and movement flawlessly with steam. On my way to north nippon kamui now.. short game :( hope theyll remake okamiden.. doubt it though haha
Gamefaqs lists this game as about 47-50 hours in duration. Is that inaccurate? Contrast that with a game like Bioshock, which they list as being under 20 hours.
The game is pretty long if you take the time to see and do everything you can do. According to some sites, the story-only run of the game is around the 25-35 hour range while the completionist run is anywhere between 40 and 50. It really depends on how fast you read/skip dialogue and just how much stuff you feel like doing during the game.
The game only has gamepad support through Steam. Unfortunately there's no easy way to use a gamepad with a cracked version and this will most likely never be updated.
You could run it on PCX2 emulator by looking for a PS2 rom of this game. Should be good if you want to play the game. The art style doesn't let graphics affect how the game looks so even the PS2 version holds up very well.
It runs perfectly on a 3.70GHz i3 4360, 8GB RAM and a 2GB GT 730 MSI. I get a stable 30 FPS at all times on max settings. The requirements really are a LOT higher than what the game actually needs, unless you have a weaker computer than mine you should be fine, and even then you could probably get a decent framerate with lower settings and resolution. Also, yes. The game is hard capped at 30 FPS.
it has it just via steams overlay input so on launch some issues and therefore pirated version. In other words atm want controller support use alt software or buy it
I see. You're referring to something like Xpadder or JoytoKey, right? Have you tried that, and if so, how well do they work? This game's not known for a high level of difficulty except for the technical aspects of the controller input with the Celestial Brush.
Playable but extra hassle I just got it officially since supporting companies for hd ports is good in my eyes and cba to wait for new cracked upload as only codex seems to have and they dont seem to have acknowledged the controller issue at least as of yet.
yh okami is a cult classic just people didn't notice in the day till after it came out. Not a fan of capcom these days but they have done some good unlike konami atm
until this does get fixed, i came across a way to get it to work, the controller, for the game Goto Steam -> Settings -> Controller Goto General Controller Settings Check the right Controller you are using, if XBox, check only Xbox, if PS type, check that one instead. Launch Game via Steam with Big Picture mode enabled, doesn't have to be run with Big Picture. Confirm that you can goto controller options by pressing SHIFT TAB which now instead of Steam overlay should show you the Big Picture controller setup. Configure the controller buttons as seen on screen, to the keyboard maps keys (emulated). This is not native support, so do not expect precision aiming/movement. That should do it.
it absolutely has controller support. as i commented earlierm, they patched that immediately after releasing the game, was liek 30 minutes after it was on steam to install. IGG has the immediate release verison, which had a bug for all controllers. you'll have to ask them to update this
Just a heads up to ppl downlaoding this - controller support didnt work for the first upload of the game on steam. also, the game is 30 FPS.. and idky.
yeah, because it is animated for 30 frames a second, if you double the framerate withouth adjusting the animations, it would look like every image was ghosting, or doubling itself. they could work around that by animating on the 2's , which means doubling every other frame of animation to cut down on time animating new frames, and it could stack the 30 on 30- but it wouldnt look as smooth as it was intended for 30 in the first place.
It must be capped by default. I remember that Alice: Madness Returns was also capped by default. There is a way to change this default. Look up how to fix Alice Madness Returns, and then find the corresponding folder and file for this game.
i wanna see MADWORLD with good controls. and in HD. my god that would be sweet. maybe add some online multyiplayer with a contest like in the game, or co op. id love it, that game was destroyed by gimmicky motion controls.
www .mediafire. com/file/tykejcpmuoia4yj
Extract the contents of the archive to the Okami game folder.
when i try to extract the file from winrar
say to me:
you need to have the following volume to continue extraction
(i use google)

Sorry for my English
if you have a problem with the game just download the "crack fixed" ---> https://mega.nz/#!Rq4HRBIA!lkRM_zYZGF57Gmd4F5fDypt7I87RA6BA8zY9WZSCmw4 and paste all the files in the directory of the game for me it works
when I click on the icone's game it redirect me to Steam and tell me to buy it --'
If that doesn't work for any reason, you can also open "steam_emu.ini" and change the language there by changing "Language=english" to one of the other supported languages.
Note that the game only supports Japanese, German, French and English.
Make sure that you downloaded the fixed crack as this is NOT included in the main download

Use JoytoKey.

But I have a little question :
May we change the language? Or there is just english?
AnyWay Thanks For The Game
I thank you in their language

this game is not made in unreal.
also prepare for heavy loading time on Gdrive, boys xD
this is worth buying, i want more HD remoakes of Wii classics
maybe add some online multyiplayer with a contest like in the game, or co op. id love it, that game was destroyed by gimmicky motion controls.
