You know why IGG's library of games is so large? Because he understands people like different things and doesn't refuse to post any particular genre. But we've had this discussion already. I found a great quote from IGG about it recently, actually. http://disq.us/p/1n0c551 (excuse the unfortunate picture you have to stare at while the comment loads). Notably it's the most aggressive thing I've ever seen IGG post. Guy is almost unerringly polite and cheerful to people, even ones talking poorly about him or the site.
Damn he got brutal...I think? Unfortunately I am too spoiled by games with audio and visual stimuli so I'll be passing on this. Text based games were pretty cool way back when though.
holy shit i turned blue of fear anyway back to normal the problem here is when you see something new uploaded in the thumbnails you never expect the surprise until you see it you enter the site and see new uploads your face its like "°3° oh nice and the thumbnail backgrounds looks promising" then when you open it you get the surprised and your face turn into this ¬_¬ those thumbnails would be great if they add a small genre in the right corner down of the thumbnail like this T----game title H----upload date by xxx in xxxx U----description M----xx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx B----xxx xxx xx xxx x xx xx xxx xx N----xx xx x xx x x x x xx x xx x A I L genre: text based,adventure,anime,etc... out of topic uncensored patch on that game from the URL HORY SHEEET 〇Дo
Yeah, that's a bit too much extra effort. Consider how much IGG is already doing by himself. Going back and doing that to everything is impossible and doing it to new games is still making him read and consider what he's getting and write it into his updates. Would probably double the time it takes on any given page edit. Cost in game turnover's probably too high for that given the gain is only really saving you time loading a page to be disappointed. He wanted to sort games by genre at one point, but given how long that's been, I think he realized how much work it was and how it only really saved people the effort of looking at the "similar games" panel on Steam.
I think I get what you mean here. Kinda like diamonds are made from coal? New Vegas is kinda a text based game as well, just have lots of running around before you get to do anything else.

those thumbnails would be great if they add a small genre in the right corner down of the thumbnail like this
T----game title
H----upload date by xxx in xxxx
U----description
M----xx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx
B----xxx xxx xx xxx x xx xx xxx xx
N----xx xx x xx x x x x xx x xx x
