just some balance and bugfixes, you can't see the version number on steam, for this you just match the dates of update on original game and the latest release of plaza on torrent sites like rarbg
Huh...this is interesting. The current 1.4 version seems to be bugged. When I installed the files and played the game, everything was fine, but the markets are broken. Whenever I click on them the console shows up saying that my game won't save, and that there is an issue with the resources. I couldn't understand the mumbo jumbo, but it appears the game cannot get an asset from the files and is bugging out because of it. Not sure why that happened as I had not manipulated or even went into the asset files. I assume this has something to do with the download files as I can't think of anything else that could've possibly influenced the asset files. If that is true, currently the game is basically unplayable because markets are very important to the game. Without them, you're pretty screwed. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am currently in the process of tryna fix it so if I come up with a solution I'll definitely add more to this thread.
Yup, found a fix. If you have this problem or anything similar that has to do with missing assets/etc., it's the old game file. I had two Nowhere Prophets on my PC. One was the old 1.0 version and the second is the new 1.4 version. As soon as I deleted the game folder for the 1.0 version the 1.4 version (which I was playing and had the market bug) worked. It appears whatever files in the old ones also affected the newer ones, causing them to break. Maybe the newer files pulled assets from the old ones, creating a malfunction. Anyways, the fix is simple. Just delete the old game files and your new game will run fine.
Lol updating this thing is a fecking in the ass now. I didn't update for months and there's already like 5 major updates and I gotta reinstall it because I need previous updates for the recent one to work, which I don't have : Guess this is what I get for pirating shit
This game is great! Everyone complaining that it is too hard didn't spend enough time with this game. I now have about a 50/50 win rate on normal. Also, this game is MEANT to be hard! You may not like this game if you aren't a fan of roguelites or permadeath. That said, the AI is pretty terrible especially on normal. However, the dev has released an update addressing this along with some needed balance fixes. This game is not perfect but will only continue to improve with each update!
Unfortunately after the initial positive impressions from the rich lore and art, i was left dissapointed with the enemy AI, which constantly makes either nonsensical moves (attacking obstacles instead of attacking my leader when it could) or annoying ones (attacking my leader despite me having lethal on the board for next turn, effectively suiciding but making my overall game harder since leader health carries over from battle to battle). The developer has promised fixes and tweaks to the AI, so i'm glad i didn't pull the trigger on buying this right off the bat.
Well, the game's actually come a long way with all of the patches since release. It's now turned into a somewhat enjoyable single player version of Hearthstone. I'm not 100% on board with buying it yet, but i'm liking what i'm seeing.
The most unbalanced game among all the games I've played. Even Skyshine's Bedlam is more balanced. Don't understand why all of those idiots on steam still sing praises of this game like it is a masterpiece.
The normal fights are fairly doable. You just keep zerging/hitting their face and you will win virtually all the normal fights. The harder events and boss battles are extremely unbalanced and while they may each have a different 'gimmick', the solution is still the same. Zerg the face. All Bosses basically have anti-fatigue mechanic where if you don't beat them quickly or in a very specific way (board control -> one shot) then you WILL lose. There simply isnt enough strategic depth in the cards to win against an overpowered boss without either knowing the boss beforehand or getting lucky. I had an extremely strong 'opening' deck where I summoned a pit trap (deal 2 damage to first enemy summon) and a item that when a construct (aka pit trap) is destroyed it deals 3 damage to front line. I crushed most normal fights by turn 3 or 4 and took virtually no damage and still got WTFBBQ by a neverending boss.
Basically Hearthstone, only completely unbalanced. 2nd boss was regenerating 10hp whenever he fell below 20, meaning you had to establish complete board dominance. Meanwhile he is summoning a shielded taunt unit with 5/6 every turn.
