the game was being horribly laggy, here's a list of issues i had right out the gate (gtx1050ti, intel i5-8th gen, 8gb ram, HDD 7200rpm) the game producer logos play twice in a row before showing title screen the dialog scenes show the girl mage for every character, not the actual character talking. skipping story scenes doesn't make the textbox go away, so i had to scroll the box regardless. the first fight throws a white screen transition and stops (i sat there for 5mins nothing happened) i did this all again after a PC reboot same result. idk whats happening for a game that already existed in french language well over a year or so? game just had its english release today so i'll wait on updates i guess, or play on PS4/switch anyways
It's a game about a very popular french show, which is in an MMO The game is supposed to be a RPG where you play with the characters of the show, it's not weird at all That said, it's probably pointless to play the game for most people that haven't seen said show
I don't really get your point It's no different than Geralt in The Witcher, or Deux Ex, or Mass Effect, Mario & Luigi's RPG... These are RPGs where the playable character is an actual character that talks, feels, have opinions, etc, they are not supposed to be you I'm not saying it'd be impossible to create your own in this context, but it very much does make sense to not be able to, the fact that the story is set in an MMO doesn't change much imo
My point is that it's weird for a game that's about MMOs and an established franchise to neither let you make your own characters nor let you play the actual main characters from the show, instead making you play some random new characters created specifically for the game.
It's like if you played a game about the Avengers but the Avengers weren't playable, instead you played some C-list dude the studio made up for the game.
did you watch or know the backstory behind every single game or movie you ever saw or played? yet you managed somehow to enjoy it and also not be totally confused about things...ya not a big shocker. to say theres no reason because i dont know the backstory... bad take
