Last time I remember it need to extract but apparently I've mistaken it for something else. Just download the R18 patch and place the file root.pfs.040 in the game folder without any extracting. Sorry for the inconvenience.

windows defender is a faggot and re-enables itself after a random amount of time, no matter how many times you disable it and turn off every one of it's features. somewhere in it's settings is a real-time-protection that will delete or disable "suspicious" files. turn that off, and you should be fine
you can actually have it turned on just choose what folder it doesnt need to delete just go to virus and threat protection settings and exceptions there you will choose what folder doesn't need to be controlled it worked great for hacknet but to be sure disable it turn off protection in real time it disables it until you choose to turn it on
I opened the install folder and noticed a second executable file apart from the game.exe. The name of this second executable is DARKSiDERSTRO01.exe I know that Darksiders is the name of the individual/group who cracked this game but i don't recall seen this file in other releases. Could this be some kind of malware? Or is it safe? Any info on this is greatly appreciated!
yeah MANY of their pres include that.. its kinda "showoff" of their art and code skillz... its btw rly feat they did technically as its c++ & opengl and such a small size.. in older times ALL groups included those on their releases inside .iso :)
Black Screen? Try deleting the ds.ini then run the game. Game should start after the error. Repercussions? Dunno really. Do tell if there are. But at least you get to play the game.
Well, its actually GT 1030 not GTX 1030 ( no X in it) its a low end 2gb card. Its like buying a card in 2011 or 2012 so it should be enough for the game
