Because straight relationship is a bit different from gay relationship and I'm gay so I know about the subject. As a gay I can't not kiss my boyfriend outside but for straight no one care. As a gay before my coming out I had to hide when I want to see my bf, because I didn't want the people to know that I'm gay, because of homophobic people in school. I had to live with fear and hide, but now it over and I'm happy.

I've never played any of the other games they've mentioned because I'm not a fan of these kind of exhausting-to-read, melodramatic games. I won't be sure if it's really exhausting to read or melodramatic unless I play (like I said, first impressions) it but the other points put me off enough that I don't want to try it. Well, many straight games are making emphasis on sex or romance. They welcome their players with "hey, I have hardcore sex/fluffy teen romance/ntr/bondage etc." I think Rance series is a good example here: it's a game about an alpha male fucking chicks and building his empire. It's pretty much a male power fantasy, yet I never saw anybody complaining about those games being all about sex and hot babes. And while not all of them promote themselves as "games for REAL MEN" there are good examples(look up "guy game" for ps2). Also when did this game or the developers said that you were a bad guy for not liking it? I followed its development for a while and never saw such a thing. If you have evidence, you can always show screenshots. As for award part: this game is made by a small developer. It's their first game. They got an award for making a good game. I don't get something in this argument, why is a homo/minority character bad? I mean, if their only personality trait is "I'm gay" or "I'm black" or "I'm x minority" then yes, it IS a bad character, but let's say superman happens to be gay, does that make him a bad character? No, it doesn't, it doesn't make him a good character either, but that's why he has a personality to go along with it. People didn't like it when Superman and Batman killed people in the JL universe because it was changing their established characters in order to be "gritty" or "edgy".
