Played it during Steam Next Fest and yeah, that's fairly accurate. It's cartoony and comedic Helldivers, with some out of mission progression with some skill trees (wasn't in demo) and upgrades for the weapons, like the riccochet fire-shotgun setting yourself on fire as well but granting unlimited magazine-ammo while burning.
Basically if you liked Helldivers but thought it needed more character progression, you might like this game.
