I am really enjoying this game! Mountaincore has a Dwarf Fortress/Rimworld/Clanfolk vibe, intuitive game mechanics, wonderful music, and a responsive dev team with an active Discord and an extensive long range plan for new content. With procedurally generated maps and so much variety, this is going to be one of those games like early RimWorld that you play over and over again and never get bored.
This is essentially a ripoff of Dwarf Fortress. It has less features and is less polished than DF, since it's pretty early access, while DF has been in the making since 2006.
That being said, the Graphcis are overall nice (If you like Rimworld-style Graphics) and it's way easier to learn and master than DF (which is known for a learning curve so steep, it's called a learning cliff). It also has a few things which it does slightly different than DF, but it's still very much apparent what it tries to copy.
If you're into colony management and are too scared to tackle DF, this game seems to be a reasonable alternative, I guess.
