I'm seeing lots of comments here that the game should be bought but i honestly disagree, not only does it use denuvo but it has the worst license agreement i have ever seen, not only does it mention you do not own the game but it also says they reserve the right to remove the game at any time! Regardless of how good or bad this game is it should honestly not be monetarily supported.

Nothing has changed, you could have your game removed before, ever heard of "The Crew" ? That basically one of the example that propelled this into court in the USA (and various country) and made this a new law.
You're confusing two things. What you're talking about is indeed a new thing, however what 102 is talking about is not new. Even the Kingdom Hearts re releases had a similar license. Just about every game in the last few years that shows the license at the start has the exact same clause. what you're talking about mainly targets online stores like Steam and Epic

This law would also apply to those companies that will have to stipulate that they aren't selling you the game per say, but a license to use it as a service and they can "turn off the service" at anytime. And this, wherever those companies have digital store or not.
Obviously, you will see this message on steam, since it's the front store, but that doesn't mean the message come from (and apply to) those companies of the like of EA Ubi Acti etc...
And if you're going to reiterate your last point, well... I suppose those guys just were one step ahead and knew what was coming. You can think they are douchey, but they just stipulating something that already exist(ed) in other companies as well. They're just clear about it.
You can make your old save work in the bypass by changing your save file name in AppData\Roaming\Sega\METAPHOR\Steam\[StringOfNumbers] from "save0001.sav" to "save_demo0001.sav"
I haven't 100% the game myself but I've read from 3 people who have done that on the v5 exe version. So yes, I believe it is now doable with no issues.
About the FXAA, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm like 80% sure this does not include that update. Since I haven't seen v1.03 released anywhere else yet.
But on the "v5 exe" you can find it uploaded in this page (a little above) named "Crack Fixed v5 (for load save problem)" and although I haven't tested this particular link, I don't see why this wouldn't work.

Confirmation: side quests crash after the demo portion ends. DL and Play the game at your own discretion. Main quest can be completed from start to finish without any issues.
Not true. I've completed sidequests past the demo portion. If it hangs during loading, relaod your savefile, walk backwards out of the current map and try it again.
Okay, I could play for the first 2 hours of the game, and besides the loading saves problem which already has a fix uploaded here, I found no bug nor sustantial issue for now.
Of course, this being an Atlus game I'm barely at the beginning, but just sharing my experience so everyone knows: 2 hours, 0 bugs, 0 crashes, 10/10 game
Edit: The fix works and now I can properly load a saved file, however be aware you must delete your previous saved file if you had one. I strongly recommend applying this fix before you start playing
If you for some reason played before save fix application, you can just rename your old save files to contain "demo" (e.g. save_demo0000) and saves will work again.
ATLUS' persona and SMT series is one of the few games that actually made me feel guilty pirating the game since they made god tier games since SMT nocturne PS1 era, so i actually bought the game Not saying y'all HAVE to buy the game, just my personal opinion They deserve every every bit of penny
I'd be much more inclined to buy them if they didn't use shit practices like Denuvo, the Atlus Tax, and making a "Golden/Royal/Complete" version of the same game a year or two later to double-dip. Haven't tried it yet but I've seen a youtubber stream it and it's very Persona coded, down to having a very similar social link system called Follower Bonds
You go to your save file location. "...\AppData\Roaming\SEGA\METAPHOR\Steam"
You make a copy of the file, then start a new game. You skip through all the dialogue and cutscenes until you get to a point where the game lets you access the "Load Game" menu from in game.
You then paste in the copy of your original saves. The game still shows the original new game save information, but the one it loads up is your old save file.
Just make sure you don't accidentally overwrite your old files.

Assassin's Creed Mirage entered Steam today. I wonder, if the trick with the demo's exe would work with the full game, too. The actual makers of the game deserve the money. Those fat farts in the upper levels of Ubisoft do not. I legally purchased all ACs from the first one up to AC Valhalla.

I started playing this game during the demo on steam. I reached now the end of demo and wanted to play the full version. I installed the crack, but after loading the game and ending the current day, it blocks me from continuing the game and just shows me a trailer. What am I doing wrong? Are we unable to continue using the save files from the demo?
I'm not too knowledgeable on how Denuvo affects save files, but they recently added Denuvo to the demo, so that might be the reason you can't use the save file from the demo. Try starting a new game and seeing if it still triggers the trailer.

I heard from another who played it that it features a character who was portrayed as a person who wanted to have a child but it turns out that she is secretly feeding everybody else's children to some monster baby and when you kill it, the game frames it that youre supposed to sympathize with her forgetting the fact that she killed everybody else's children for her selfishness.
It hopefully doesn't reach the point its comparable to the Crossbell Arc of the Trails series because I always heard somekind of criticism on the story of that game.

Actual crack wouldn't get updates either until Denuvo is removed. Each update would need to be cracked from scratch essentially, no scene group wastes time on that.

Apparently there are soft locks in place that don't let you progress past the first boss. I heard that there's a V2 crack that removes that but I dunno how legitimate that is
That has been solved yesterday. The patched exe solved the map softlock issue and game seems to be fully playable - further testing is required as to whether the game can actually be completed.

"%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/SEGA/METAPHOR/" is the same directory I'm used to, i transferred my save data, "save0000.sav" to the folder: "76561199790077203" from "76561199769227501" but it just doesn't work.
Thanks, showing the directory really helped because then I figured out that my save file didnt have a pcconfig.dat file, and it also had system_demo.sav not system.sav. For anyone having similar issues, I recovered my original save file and then transferred the relevant files into the new save file. I also renamed my save file to system_demo0001.sav.
I guess you can try reinstalling the game, but this time make sure your computer is in Airplane Mode and your Antivirus is turned all the way off. Oh, and don't forget to add exceptions to the folder where the .exe is stored. I had the same issue as you before. Turns out my Antivirus program was sneakily deleting any file created by the modified .exe file because it thought it was a malicious program propagating.
Did all what I said earlier, and everything ran hunky dory. I'm in the water capital now, 20 hours in. No problems at all.

The main game is protected by denuvo. The demo doesn't have denuvo but is basically the full game with something making the game stop working after a certain checkpoint.
Anyone had an issue with the hair color for some characters? Like Maria, Catherina and Zorba being black instead of the respective colors. Not gamebreaking but sometimes weird/annoying, I just wanted to know if is a common issue.

But I got the game yesterday from the torrent site and I played for 8+ hours, then today when I came back to continue I can only click new game, I know for a fact that I had 5 saves with 1 hour between them so I would have thought one of them would have worked. (rune, cpy, i_kNOw, etc?) depending on that info is where the save data would be. but google says the save data would be %appdata%\SEGA\METAPHOR i gotta ask, if you are using controlled folder access, if your antivirus software is on without excluding this game etc then its quite possible thats an issue in itself.

antivirus software interferes with hacked/cracked/ tampered with coding on games. so yes, thats an issue on all pirated games for the most part.
paid games is a different matter tho. either way, demo or not, there is still some coding in this that isnt original and it will indeed have a bypass of some sort. so antivirus software my have something to do with it. (7 years here/pirating games i never let my AV software run on the disk im downloading pirated games to) but, i only get from IGG unless they dont have it. then ill turn to an alternate source thats trusted.
btw since this game is not showing the save data in the proper folder, it will have a steam emu ini file or something of the sort somewhere, check it. open in word/note editor. and see where it says its saving too. it may say "0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8:" and each number will have an answer for where its folder location for save data is. (itll tell you inside the ini file) that should be where your save stuff is. may need prior version to get your old save, and then the new version to add those saves to it.
i've played this cracked version for like 20h now. i really like it so im thinking of buying it. but it does feel bad paying 70 bucks for the a basic ATLUS formula game; where neither the characters nor the story is very original or deep. im just a sucker for JRPGs. what are you guys' thoughts?
I'd say take the middle road, buy it AFTER they remove Denuvo and actually put $70 worth of effort into the PC port.. By then, the Royal Golden Ultimax edition will be out anyway, and you can buy that instead and not have to double-dip (if they have smartened up any and release it without denuvo, but I doubt it).
Don't support anti-consumer practices; There are plenty of devs that release great games without the greedy anti-consumer practices that deserve your money far more, especially in the indie scene.
We all know the "ReFantazio - ReBorn" will be released in a year or so, expansion sold at full price (classic Atlus). It's pointless to play this game right now, but I do think Atlus deserves the money because they are by far the best at what they do (Enix and Ninhon Falcom are the only ones who get close), best jrpg devs in the market, best monster collector system, etc.. they are the eastern Larian, but sadly, unlike Larian, they are EXTREMELY greedy. I will buy the expansion for 60 bucks in the near future, if I was you, save your money now and buy the complete game later, the PC community needs to show support, so Atlus will still look at us with favorable eyes (and playing with mods is always a treat)
atlus said they want to get away from enhanced versions which is why p3 remake isnt getting one. i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt rerelease metaphore because unlike SMT V this game really doesnt need a better version. SMT V though really needed one lol
...Except P3 remake is an enhanced version of a remake itself. And they'll be releasing a DLC for it with "The Answer" Content for probably $40 or more, so it's not much different than an "enhanced version".
FYI, Persona 3 was released way back in the PS2 days, then had an enhanced version for PS2 a year or two later with "the Answer" added on, then a demake to PSP with lots of cut content but a FeMC option, now the remastered version for current gen systems.

its the full game. it just uses a bypass insteaed of a crack to make it playable so there can be issue. im 20 hours in and well past the demo portion and everything works so far expect for the dlc
so far all of them worked for me. im in the third major city and didnt have any issues besides one side quest not having its questmarker to turn it in but i could still talk to the npc. there might be quests that cant be completed later on but at least so far there wasnt any issue

There WAS an issue with quests (side and main) when you first get the Runner and open the map to travel. This was fixed before it reached IGG by patching the .exe file.
AFAIK that patched .exe is included in the IGG version. Just a guess though; not downloading it a second time to test :p

Everytime i try to open the game it would close instantly. I managed to get it to work by blocking its access to internet through settings. However, when i close the game and try to open it. it will not work again. Does anyone else have the same issues?
i found an odd solution that has fixed it for me. In addition to the internet inbound restriction on the application. When click the exe and loading into the game. Clicking the windows key which forces you to your desktop and then wait for a few seconds for the game to load and then click back into the game. The game now no longer crashes on me. Not sure why this works, it may be something wrong with the full screen mode.
Make sure you don't have open something like MSI afterburner or at least rivatuner has detection none on the process for Metaphor. Reshade also tends to do the same and closing the game after opening.

The method used to crack/bypass games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack/bybass as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)

The demo doesn't have denuvo but is basically the full game with something making the game stop working after a certain checkpoint.

Nope, don't have the folder option on since so many games save to documents and such folders.

tampered with coding on games. so yes, thats an
issue on all pirated games for the most part.
paid games is a different matter tho.
either way, demo or not, there is still
some coding in this that isnt original
and it will indeed have a bypass of some
sort. so antivirus software my have something
to do with it.

btw since this game is not showing
the save data in the proper folder,
it will have a steam emu ini file
or something of the sort
somewhere, check it. open in
word/note editor. and see where it
says its saving too. it may say
"0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8:" and each number
will have an answer for where its
folder location for save data is.
(itll tell you inside the ini file)
that should be where your save
stuff is. may need prior version
to get your old save, and then the
new version to add those saves to it.

FYI, Persona 3 was released way back in the PS2 days, then had an enhanced version for PS2 a year or two later with "the Answer" added on, then a demake to PSP with lots of cut content but a FeMC option, now the remastered version for current gen systems.

AFAIK that patched .exe is included in the IGG version. Just a guess though; not downloading it a second time to test :p
