all the links are dead except megaups, but thats just a 3m installer by the looks of it, and installers are not to be trusted, even the torrent version is dead :( kinda gutted, i've never played max payne before.
how to upgrade graphics 1) texture: https://www.moddb.com/games/max-payne/addons/max-payne-remastered 2)reshade:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C9-nlEc-3lZTvuoxXHRo9-52FK-DZMq5/view it was hard to find the reshade for me sinse i don't think it's the same as sweetfx i downloaded both to compare them and it's a different thing entierly, when you search reshade sweetfx is first thing that comes up sinse that's first thing people did and it has same name, tho i think they changed it to sweetfx and the people who upgraded it renamed it to reshade....
Speaking of HD textures: Well, a year and a half ago when I realized I had to complete Max Payne 3, I thought I'd first beat MP1 (which I had missed somehow back in the day having only played through MP2). So, I downloaded and installed MP1 with audio fix patch only (no HD textures or widescreen fixes) and the game ran with no issues to my surprise and delight. Cranking up AA to the max was the only thing I did. Launched with neither VMware nor compatibility settings on Windows 8.1. TBH, around the same time I played SW Jedi Outcast with a few HD textures and light patches on but I couldn't say there was much difference b/w vanilla version. On the other hand, Theme Hospital benefited a lot from using Corsix HD mod (thanks for advising, btw). All in all, I'm ambivalent about texture mods :-)
Woah that looks amazing! I'm also surprised at the number of MODs for this game. Great to see such dedication and effort from the community. https://youtu.be/XmNexlwBfDw
To get the game working try this: Right click desktop icon > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode for > Windows 98 ... > OK Run the game
I tried the mega up link and it tells me that this is dangerous. So i download it any way and i extract it and theres no game except a cyberlink thing. I just want to play this game why is it so hard.

Looks still great almost 20 years after its first release!
