Actually pretty damned good. It's a turn-based strategy game with deep customization and RPG mechanics. The combat is simple at a surface level, but it becomes noticeably deeper when all the different systems and mechanics come into play. Enemies are very varied and well designed, and the difficulty feels pretty on point; although there's a bit of artificial difficulty in the stats and equipment of the enemies, it gets balanced out by the AI's somewhat inconsistent abilities to react sensibly to combat situations. While there's loads of different approaches, and they all seem pretty valid and functional, I think there's a bit of a balance issue, with some playstyles and item combinations feeling stronger than most other strategies. There's also a bit of an element of RNG when it comes to defining your build; you may not get the items you need to progress, or not get items that enable you to use an alternative strategy instead, leaving you a bit stagnant occasionally. The missions are a bit weak; there's only a handful of different types, and some seem to consistently have better payouts or be more approachable than others. Modifiers to the scenarios seem to only appear very rarely, and it's hard to know what some of them even do. You'll find yourself repeating the same missions over and over, and sometimes the maps themselves will feel very samey or fail to present different combat scenarios, which ends up being a bit repetitive. Overall though, it's a very solid strategy game, if you dig them you'll probably have a good bit of fun with this one. Watch out for misclicks though; there's no confirmation required for anything. P.S: I've run a full scan after installing & playing the game and have found no viruses (not even false positives). Simplex's executables may get flagged as such, but the game itself is clean, as has been everything I've gotten from here that I can remember.
Please do not delete this mods. The file indeed contains a cryptomining trojan. You can verify it if you do not believe me. I thought we are gamers, we are family?
This is actually a decent turn-based game, yes, the graphics are quite simplistic but the gameplay is surprisingly good, anyone who has a knack for turn-based games should check this one out
