I've played around for a while and I can clearly say... It's decent fun and the story while a bit cliche at times and honestly really isn't too deep when it comes to story telling is also not that bad just don't take the story too seriously. If I had to say what game this reminded me of? I can say for certain that it reminds me of a small gem from the Nintendo Gameboy Advance Era.
"Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 1 and 2" Gameplay is pretty similar to the point of Gather and beat up enemies for stuff, create new weapons with said stuff to gather and beat up enemies for more stuff..
There's also a "datingsim" like element to it which is also the same with summon night but much more expanded compared to summon night.
TL:DR
If you like/love games that has you gathering stuff to create weapons... this is a game for you.
From the Creators of Summon Night: Sword Craft Story comes "Maglam Lord"
general Rating: Graphics - 7.5/10 (Could've been higher but the developers got stuck with the whole Summon Night thing of just palette swapping enemies and making them stronger... Characters looks very nice though. If you're a fan of the cutesy Chibi style then this is for you.)
Story - 6.5/10 ( Very basic and you shouldn't expect much out of the story as it's very linear... at least the Visual Novel Story aspect is decent.)
Gameplay - 7/10 ( Travelling and UI is okay. Fighting is Simple and fluid but somehow still feels a bit clunky from time to time)
Total Average: 7/10. Try it out. You might like it.
Personal Rating: 8/10 just because it reminds me of Summon Night and I love games like these.
Edit: I have tried to play it with the Keyboard and I did not have a fun time for the first few fights of the game. The game can be played on keyboard without a problem what-so-ever 100%... The Actual Problem is that the game is designed for Controller... Specifically, Xbox Controllers. There is no way to edit controls which... I really didn't care for it since I had a controller when I first played but god damn.
This downside isn't so bad but it is a bit annoying that playing on the keyboard the rating I give it would be...
Gameplay - 6/10.
Total Average - 6.5.
I still like the game and I have a controller to play with... So my personal score wont change.
To spare others playing with only a keyboard, here's what I found online:
I always find it suspicious whenever the previews here are nothing but dialog screenshots. That's usually a sign that the gameplay is incredibly basic or worse: just plain bad.
If You don't know Japanese don't even bother unless You want to play rewritten game

There's a manual for keyboard users as to what keys are connected to what Xbox Controller Buttons. Have fun.
...I remember at least thre similiar titles;
"ONINAKI",
"WitchSpring3 Re:Fine",
"Cosmo Player Z".
Started it yesterday, finished it today
Amazing story :3
