There appears to be some confusion about this situation. Please allow me to try to clarify.

If the virus warning from your installed AntiVirus [AV] or AV's browser extension occurs while you're trying to download from a third party file hoster's site then it is most likely one of the ads that the file hoster displays on behalf of their sponsors who pay the file hoster for doing so on its site rather than the actual [WinRAR archive] file that you wish to download which contains the desired game's files.

Just close the offending ad and try again to proceed with the download of the desired game's part [Again, WinRAR archive file]. If you must, then refresh the third party file hoster's page in order to try again. Do not download any other kind of file from any third party file hoster like an executable which could possibly be actually infected (Different file hosters may have different policies in place to manage the integrity [virus free status] of the ads that their sponsors pay them to display [Some have strict policies against virus infected ads while others may have lax policies]).

IGG-Games.com [Admin] only uploads to the third party file hosters, "clean" WinRAR (Not WinZip, 7Zip, ... etc) archives that contain the files for a given game either in a single WinRAR archive (For small games that are 5.0GB or less in size) or "spanned" (Segmented into multiple parts that all need to be downloaded to form a large game that is greater than 5.0GB).

Once you have successfully downloaded the WinRAR archive, whether it is a single or a spanned [multi-part] one, attempt to extract the files for the game into a new folder and if applicable, run the game's installer (Some games are already preinstalled and pre-cracked before being packed into a WinRAR archive and do not require any installation or any other action by the user). After the game's installation, copy all of the cracked files located within the separate cracked files folder (It is usually a folder that is separate from the game's installer and its support file(s) [eg. - A .bin file]), into the installed game's folder. Sometimes, the cracked files found in the separate folder located within the [freeware] "Daemon Tools Lite" mounted ".iso" [virtual disc image] file found inside the WinRAR archive, may trigger a "false positive" within your installed AV or AV's browser extension but it's nothing to be concerned about as the crack files used to defeat the DRM [copy protection] that protects a given game, utilizes code and coding techniques that are falsely detected by some, not all, AVs as being similar to that used to create viruses or malware programs. Those files are not actually infected with any virus or malware.

In those cases where your AV may incorrectly detect and quarantine those necessary [to successfully run the game] cracked files, try checking the quarantine section of your AntiVirus application and see whether any new files like the cracked game executable and/or any cracked support files (eg. - library files [".dll"s] like "steam_api.dll", "steam_api64.dll" or any other executables [".exe"s]) for the game's executable that were originally located in the installed game's folder after you had copied them over, are now being held inside. If they are then temporarily disable the real time protection of your AntiVirus, restore each file to its original location in the installed game's folder, add each file into the exclusion list of your AntiVirus, re-enable the real time protection of your AntiVirus and then try running the game again.

I hope that all of this helps you~!

Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
