You should check out Dwarf Fortress then. That game eats your PCs resources for breakfast while looking like an ancient game, and it's still one of the most mechanically advanced games out there.
You can still play it with ancient hardware, though; it's just that it doesn't have any hard cap on what it can use, and it isn't very well optimized, frankly (see also: Minecraft).
I'm guessing that it's what they tested on, and/or just the current set of minimum recommended requirements that Unity puts out, either or. Minimum is almost always a guideline, rather than a hard requirement (though some cases it actually is, due to hardware specific aspects; eg. I can't play Monster Hunter Rise because my GPU is just too old and can't render the character models properly because it doesn't have full DX12 support and its architecture simply can't do what's needed; it's a 650 TI BOOST).
Sadly feels like they just sorta... forgot to do the rest of the game, to me. The zones required to properly outfit the homes also very quickly means that you take over the entire map with homes and workplaces both, even if you merge buildings together appropriately for their jobs.
If it ask for password then you downloaded wrong file. Probably virus or some other bullshit.
I use MegaUp.net since it is always up. Click on link on this page and then follow this rule of thumb: You click on redirect link 2 times. First 1 is bullshit. Then you click on download link 3 times. First 2 are bullshit. Now you are downloading correct file. Enjoy!
BlueMedia is the redirect site that IGG uses, and should be the first page you see when you click any download link here, basically. It transitions to MegaUp when on the actual site, however.
Better rule of thumb for MegaUp: If it opens a new tab, close it and try again. It should always take you to another MegaUp-branded page where it says that it's preparing the file and then download should begin, without clicking yet another link.
Gameplay here my friends: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEKJU_Rfq7g
The game looks like a slightly better looking Rimworld but it has a requirement higher than Witcher 3!
Just telling you for future reference. :)
